Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, 5 points clear + 7 games left = 10th Prem T

Good Game and dare i say good result. Boro were at the races as usual when it comes to the big four, Rooney was immense today carried us through that game, if it wasn't for him we would have lost by a few, also deja vu of last season with the backline crumbling :( Rio to get his scan, im actually really worried about Wednesday now.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, 5 points clear + 7 games left = 10th Prem T

To be honest... I thought Boro's played really well and should have won the match!! And Rooney to the rescue once again... looks like the Title is once again up for grabs!!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, 5 points clear + 7 games left = 10th Prem T

were still basically 4 points clear tho with the goal dif

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, 5 points clear + 7 games left = 10th Prem T

To be honest if we can't take points of Chelsea at the bridge, we don't deserve the title. That's how I feel. It'll be a bit like a final!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, 5 points clear + 7 games left = 10th Prem T

makes April 13th much more important... tbh I would really h8 to see chels lift the trophy

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, 5 points clear + 7 games left = 10th Prem T

mate we are still performing with an "average" manager this would make winning this trophy sweeter and now with ManU drawing the title race is once again open!!

If you were performing you wouldn't be what, -18 in goal difference to us? The only nice thing about Chelsea is that despite having the budget and squad of an all-star team, you play like Wimbledon from 20 years ago. Effective, but happily even ABUs would rather see a fluid team win the league than the Blues.

That said I still think you'll nick it. And when you do, it'll just encourage more negative, rigid football from some truly great players. And that dissapoints the hell out of me. Imagine Essien playing at Arsenal, or United, or even Spurs - driving through the midfield, free reign to attack when he saw the opportunity. Imagine Ballack allowed to be a playmaker, and inspire like he does for Germany. Just guts me that such great players are forced to play such dull football because it's effective.

Anyway rant over. Hopefully we can get a result at the bridge.

Completely agree just look at Ashley Cole, I hate the the little bastard but when he played for Arsenal he did a great job! (Clichy's better anyway!) but now for Chelsea he seems a little boring!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, 5 points clear + 7 games left = 10th Prem T

@ Metallica: I don't understand you calling "fucking dog shite". Only thing strange is his Substitutions that he does but for that he can get aid from Clarke & Ten Cate.
@ Metallica & Beachryan: Team is going in the right path. We are playing better football than under Jose's time. We were defensive earlier and it did make us win the premier league didn't it? Nowadays we are incorporating attacking plays to go with our defensive abilities. It's still a work-in-progress before all you more educated football fans jump on me, it will take time to become one like ManU or fluid football like Arsenal. I agree we haven't scored so free-flowing as ManU. But we have improved our goal scoring in the recent matches. And of course i know you guys are jealous of our squad. :-pp
And besides if you get that bloody bored of watching us play do me and yourself a favor change the bloody channel. ;))

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, 5 points clear + 7 games left = 10th Prem T

Please don't call us ManU. It's offensive :nono:

 :applause:

Anyway, I hope Rio's injury isn't serious. We're in trouble if both him and Vidic are out.

Looks like RIo will be missing the Roma game. This isnt looking good...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, 5 points clear + 7 games left = 10th Prem T

So might Totti.
I think our backline will be still be fairly strong (Hargreaves, Brown, Pique, Evra), though we'll have to wait and see if it's strong enough...

Have they said what Rio's injury is yet?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, 5 points clear + 7 games left = 10th Prem T

Honestly before we equalised,it felt like that away game at West Ham.Vidic is out and now Rio follows suit. Its not looking too good for our defence at the moment.A few of them might have to step it up if Rio and Vida stays out for quite some time.I believe Boro will not be rallied if we led by two goals before HT.That was 2 points dropped and Chelski and The Arse will hope that we drop a few more.

What we need to do is just keep on going and grinding results like we did at The Riverside.I agree that the lads showed enough courage but at the moment we need more than just that. Two awful mistakes at the back cost us dearly.Just shows you how much Vidic and now Rio will be missed.

Shit!! I did not know that the absence of one centre-back could make such a big difference. U guys should pray that Ferdinand should come back for the Roma match atleast.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, 5 points clear + 7 games left = 10th Prem T

one man made a big difference in the back row... How serious is Ferdinand's injury??

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, 5 points clear + 7 games left = 10th Prem T

it's pretty worrying with rio and vidic out =[

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread, 5 points clear + 7 games left = 10th Prem T

Mate, you've already been told its offensive as its a Nickname which was made about the Munich Disaster and players that died.

Jealous of the depth, yes. Jealous of the quality? No chance.

Mates I ain't being offensive far from it. Neither am i reminding you all about the Munich Incident. I'm just stating the short form of your club that's all. And I would never insult nor do say anything offensive related to the Munich Incident. None at all!!

Just curious mate... thanks for clarifying mate!!:DD

I agree, it seems that way around here Beboq.

Anyway, Rio hasn't broken his foot! Great news. He won't feature in the Roma game but he should be back sooner than expected. Hopefully Pique can do a job there for now. Also I can't believe no-one has mentioned Neville being back in the squad! GREAT news.

Our temporary back four might look like this:

Neville --- Brown --- Pique --- Evra

With Silvesre and O'Shea fitting in somewhere too. Not too bad lads, keep the faith! :)
