Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Really can't predict Saturday's big fixture. It could be a cagey, physical affair or it could have both teams playing beautiful football. No manager will want a replay although it's up to us to attack them as we're at home. When was the last time we lost two games in a row at Old Trafford? Also, if we do knock Arsenal out of the cup I don't think too many of their fans will mind because they just focus on Europe and the league.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I genuinely won't be fussed if we lose, we REALLY want the league this year. You can have the FA Cup! ;) I would say you are massive favourites for the match.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I want it ALL! we need to do a Anfield win our players praise utd`s but they dont give us respect yet!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I don't think we have much to lose really, apart from a bit of psychological edge. I think it really would cripple Utd if they lost though. ooh im quite excited :D gonna be a wicked week of footie, hope we dont get smashed in both of them tho =S

that in itself is loser talk. you dont have much to lose? how about a big game vs a hated rival which may or may not be for a trophy.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

loser talk? i'm not actually playing so im not losing anything. going out of the cup wont be entirely bad, we'll have less games and be able to concentrate on the league, and then europe. Utd winning the treble was something special, not many teams have the strength the stay strong in so many tournaments after a long season.

I would love us to win, im actually really hyped for the game. id be gutted if we lost and over the moon if we won, i just dont think it will have as much of an effect on the rest of our season if we lost compared to if you did..

why is that? its not like united are out of contention... and the benefits you would gain from losing are the exact same for united.. im not following your logic

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

well you are on a bad run by your standards, losing to us would affect you're players confidence i think, more so than if we lost. just my opinion. you're players will see this as a way of putting the last week or so behind them..

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I agree in some way, if we play to a high level than i dont think it will affect us THAT much if we win or lose but if we put in another poor performance than the pressure will really be on the players to not blow the season

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Fact is,IF WE LOSE...it will not affect the title race, however it will dent the confidence of our players.Thats only good because it will spur them on even more to regain the top spot of the league after losing a place in the FA cup.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I'm just gonna enjoy Saturday. Getting knocked out of the cup may be a blessing in disguise. Win, lose or draw you won't see me getting carried away. Lyon next Wednesday, that's a totally differnt scenario!

I hope we rest Ronaldo on Saturday and give Nani a run and play Giggs on the left. The boy needs it. Also, Arsenal have Sagna, Clichy (who in my opinion, apart from Adebayor, has been Arsenal's best player this season) and Senderos out.

Yes Plan M you know your Arsenal! Clichy and Sagna have been our best players this season apart from big Ade.

I am like you on this. A win I am happy, neither side want a draw, and a loss then C'est la vie! Milan on Wednesday await and the league we can concentrate on.

Lets just hope its a great match with lots of goals and NO handbags. Hopefully Utd will put out prawn sandwiches in the away dressing room this time and not pizza

Dosent matter what we put in the away dressing room, little Fabregas likes to throw them around in a fit anyways.

He did have a go at us in the press, reminding everyone that, "United failed in the derby." :applause:

Damn it Fab!

Edit:

Fabregas said: "United failed in the derby so they will want to bounce back and beat us. I am convinced that it will be an intense match from the first minute.
that`s not a dig really

Lets hope we see less of Fabregas rolling around on the floor after being lightly brushed by a United Midfielder (and getting free kicks every fucking time!) And the sort of football that we know BOTH teams are capable of. If there is one game I HATE watching to be honest its United vs Arsenal. We should have beaten you lads at the Emirates earlier this season. If only we couldve defended Gallas's lucky last minute goal......

Does anyone remember Anderson doing a theatrical tumble and Fabregas of all people having a go at him? Pot calling kettle black?

What was lucky about it? It was a cracking finish from our centre half and captain!

Regardless of what Fab did, doesn't make Anderson's disgraceful dive right does it?

Point taken... I felt as if we were robbed though, we played excellent stuff in the 2nd half and couldve buried the game.

No but its funny that a Serial Diver like Fabregas can stand and have a go at Anderson for doing 1 yet Fab does it all the time!

You also described Ronaldo there ;)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

He is only a threat when he falls over near a penalty box or in a penalty box and you guys get a free chance on goal which should never be given! He isnt the only one and to be fair to Ronaldo he has cut out the Diving a LOT since he joined, he is no-where near as bad as the likes of Joe Cole and Fabregas. Christ even Hleb does it, Against Blackburn he got the lightest of Challenges from Tugay he went straight down!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

they both dive, ronaldo and cesc and they can both effect a game greatly.. either way should be an interesting match

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

DJ you seem a decent guy but don't come over holier than thou on this. Both teams, sorry all teams have players who "simulate", its not right but its part of the game today. Take off your United spectacles for minute and wise up. ;)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Fabregas is a genius. Put the handbags away lads and hope for a good match on Saturday.

May the best team win.
