Blue4Life is a Rooney fan...thats why he wants us to win it!

Anyways...If the board and Sir Alex himself feels we need to get players,whomever they are...I believe we will get them.Everyone is available somehow these days.

It became a glaring on the derby that we are indeed missing a proper targetman and short of covers for both fullbacks.

Hope we sort those out come summer.

Again, also interesting. I don't know any Evertonian's that don't hate Rooney for deserting them. Even listening to Everton v Man Utd, Rooney gets TONS of stick from the Evertonian's.

Well he's not from Liverpool so maybe that is the case. But nobody in Liverpool who supports either Liverpool or Everton wants to see Utd win the league, maybe it's a Scouse thing.

My point is not to say he is taking aw picks which is crazy but to say we try to get them already and that saf does this to unsettle the teams...aw does that in every match to try to unsettle. I think it makes a player try to play as an individual rather then a team ... I thought it was funny how lyon didnt bite and then threw c.ronaldo bit. That just my assessment .

The thing is,we made the offical approach,under the radars of the media.Blame the Lyon president for making it public,thus,in hand gaving Benzema and Ben Arfa something to think about before the CL clash.Thats just my assessment. ;)

so i`m a rooney fan now! dam right i am! most evertonians feel very bitter that he went to man utd but im not , on his first european game when he scored the hatrick i was proud as punch! a young man who learnt his trade at EVERTON F.C. simply had to leave to further his career, everton had taken him as far as he could go at the time. a cracking deal was done both for everton and wayne rooney, neither parties have looked back since.

also ive always loved to watch manchester united, the greatest club side on the planet, being a belfast man that would bring back great memories of George Best , sammy mc ilroy and of course the great norman whiteside who wore the shirt of both everton and manchester united, alot of my family are red devils also , as you all know im blue to the core .....and if i was not...then id be a RED DEVIL

Fergie eyes £40m Lyon double raid

ALEX FERGUSON has targeted Lyon duo Karim Benzema and Hatem Ben Arfa in a sensational £40million swoop.

Boss Fergie made his move just a week before Manchester United face the French side in a Champions League last-16 clash.

He spoke to Lyon chief Jean Aulas about striker Benzema and winger Ben Arfa last week.

Aulas said: “I spoke to Sir Alex. I told him that Benzema and Ben Arfa will not leave in the next two years. We want to build our future on them.

“If he wants to exchange Cristiano Ronaldo for Ben Arfa we could talk about it but they would have to also give us a bit of money.”

But Aulas’ remarks will not put off Fergie, who spoke to the Lyon president before Saturday’s game with Sochaux.

The pair are also summer targets for Arsenal and Chelsea.

SunSport told you several months ago about Arsenal’s interest in the Lyon stars but now Fergie has stolen a march on the Gunners.

French ace Benzema, 20, is one of the hottest strikers in Europe with 16 goals in 24 league games this season.

Fergie sees jet-heeled Ben Arfa, 20, as a long-term replacement for Ryan Giggs, 34.

Thats just not going to happen, we just signed Nani as Giggs replacement and he is developing well, while the Benzema deal may have more truth to it

Anyway I've been getting some stick recently from my mates etc cause iv been ranting its our treble year and they've been mouthing of since derby day "you've blown it" well was on youtube late and bored so decided why not check out the classic moments (it really was just a fantasy season it was impossible for us not to win it):)..

I think you will buy a target man, someone like Huntelaar. What about a right back? Surely you can do better than Brown? Or maybe that Danny Simpson guy can be promoted to the first team?

Brown is good, he's just had a shite week. All players have them. Neville, Brown and Simpson all fit the right-back role.

Hmm, I think you could do with someone in the Evra mould on the right hand side. Brown is a decent player, but not United quality IMO. Why would you want a left back. Evra is world class. Anyways, I really don't think there are that many good left backs around in Europe.

Brown's a centre back, bottom line. It baffles me that we've done so well this season with no attacking RB, even more so when you consider that means Ronaldo is often double teamed. We desperately need a Neviller part deux, we really lack that threat on the right that we have on the left with Evra. I odn't understand why O'Shea doesn't start in front of Brown, they're similar defensively and O'Shea is unarguably a better attacker. Particularly against weak teams.

Hoping our real team steps up Saturday, not the crap excuse from Sunday. Disgraceful.

not sure man, brown gets forward everyonce in awhile, and his touch is much better the oshits... also brown has much greater recovery speed then oshea, once someone beats him, its over... brown has done a solid job at rb.. i think we really need neville to get healthy, or break the bank on Daniel Alves.... he is a absolute masterpeice

Oh and I think Nev may just be out of luck nowadays, so we should push Simpson forward and give him a few games. He's done well in the games hes been given.

I think its too crucial to experiment at this stage..we need to go with the tested and proven...I agree Brown has done ok for us but it would be a bonus to have Gaz back NOW.Crossing from the right is at a minimal now and Brown does not back up Ronaldo that much as naturally,he is not a fullback and does not have instincts like Gaz has.

Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Phillip Lahm for the summer!!

Lahm would be perfect for you guys. Could play on the right, and in case Evra gets injured he can switch to left, and Brown can play on the right.
