Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Guys, just watched Carlos Queiroz's post match derby interview on Sky Sports and really like the guy. He is so fair and composed in interviews and doesn't give hundreds of excuses like most coaches, he really praised Man City and their performace. You just don't see that with Rafa or Wenger and at times, Fergie. Has he got enough about him to succeed Ferguson as manager?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Did Dags say something then? ;)

He moans FAR LESS than most coaches though. We did look tired but that's no excuse - we had no shape and didn't pass the ball well WHICH Carlos also touched on. Because we play so well on a consistent basis, people will ALWAYS enjoy seeing United slip up. Envy is one of the seven deadly sins you know.

I actually think the team we had out didnt help, what was with Anderson and Scholes in the middle? we needed either Carrick or Hargreaves playing, for me right now Scholes hasn't hit form yet so i actually wouldnt start him next week this would be my team for sunday

------------Tevez---Rooney--------
Giggs-----------------------Ronaldo
----------Anderson-Hargreaves------
Evra-------------------------Brown
-----------Vidic-Ferdinand-------
--------------Van Der Sar--------

SO far for me thats been our best team this season and we'll certainly need to be at our best for sunday, the treble is stil on lads :)

I am envious. I'm not trying to hide it. Doesn't mean United loosing ground in the title race and having a double done on them by Svens blue army is any less of a joyous occasion.:applause:

Ask Sporting Lisbon fans what they think about Carlos Queiroz! The most likeable name they will say will be bastard! :lmao:

I personally DONT want him as United's Next Manager.... He went to Real Madrid and managed the Galaticos and did fuck all with them.... got sacked and we took him back!

I want (ready for a flaming) Martin O'Neil.... the guy has got so much passion. One thing I love to see is when his team scores and he bounces up and down with Joy all over his face!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

The man had a hand in bringing Ronaldo to Old Trafford...i think that earn's him some brownie points does'nt it?

DJ, he is a top top manager and the only reason he "failed" at Madrid was because of the president making him select players(the galactico's), selling players he wanted to keep(Makelele) and not letting him buy the players he wanted like Pepe who he wanted for 2M and just this last summer they bought him for 30M, if they let him run Real as he wanted they would have won plenty of trophies with them

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Carlos Queiroz is a great coach and our players certainly will back up that statement.Sir Alex himself has already said that Queiroz is the best assistant manager he has since Brian Kidd. With him around,we has certainly expand our knowledge and popularity across countries like Portugal,The African continent and America. When he left us for Real Madrid to become their coach,it was with Sir Alex's blessings and mutual agreement because that kind of chance does not come around twice.Well,as we all knew he was kicked out of Madrid and we have no problems whatsoever in taking him back because he was THAT important to us.

Bottomline.Carlos Queiroz is a great Assistant Manager but to succeed Sir Alex...who knows,maybe...maybe not. What I know is Sir Alex himself has got a good 5-8 years left in him and thats no exzaggerration.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Gotta be honest but I think we've blown the league in the last two games. I can't see Arsenal losing many games, if any, and we still have a few tough ones to go.

I suppose with the season you's lot are having, you've gotta take your pleasure wherever you can get it.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Them scousers have no other choice have they? Even their captain has thrown in the towel, telling the team to forget about the Premiership and concentrate on finishing 4th!

In reports today,we have made offical inquiries on Karim Benzema and Hatem Ben Arfa of Lyon.It would be a double header swoop of 40 Million Pounds if it happens. Now,thats a mouth-watering transfer story.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Now that would be some transfer. Though I doubt Lyon would let BOTH of them go, as their President has big aspirations for the club to become European giants.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

You know your team are shit when you start supporting other teams!

Anyway, the league is gonna be a tough prospect now. IF Arsenal lose soon and we win we're only two points behind again but that's a big IF.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

So every person who doesn't support Man Utd and wants Arsenal to win the league supports a shit team? That's a bit disrespectful.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

hmmmm yeh dont look great , but some time to go! arsenal will slip up against the top teams (i hope).

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I wont bother about other teams if we continue this poor spell we are having. It wont even matter if Arsenal or whoever dropped points yet we struggle against the likes of Spurs and Citeh.

You want Utd to win the league? Never met an Evertonian who doesn't hate Man Utd

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I'd say Arsenal play better football than Utd in that case, you wouldn't agree Plan M?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Definately mate, Arsenal play the better football. Although when we are on song it's pretty fucking good too.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I agree, Utd play some quality football. I'm interested to see why Blue wants Utd to win the league, if you say it's for appreciating good football then surely he'd want Arsenal to win (to which you agree play better football). An interesting one really, I'm curious :)

Too be honest - I think Man U have played better football than us this season.

I think we are riding on our reputation a bit recently - Alot of our games this season we have been a bit lucky or have grinded out results.

I haven't seen us play aswell as we have recent seasons.

But As they say - we need to grind out the results in games we are not playing so well in - thats what champions are made of.......Fingers crossed.

No doubt though when we play our passing football we are a beauty :)

Those were Arsenal targets in the summer before the season started but w/ Lyon comments ...dont think so.

“If he wants to exchange Cristiano Ronaldo for Ben Arfa we could talk about it but they would have to also give us a bit of money.”

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

No-one can compete with both Arsenal and United's style of football that's for sure. Look at Chelsea v Liverpool on Sunday; what dire, boring football on show and that's been the norm for them teams this season.
