Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Of course Rooney is now a better player, Name me one 18 year old that after a few years isnt.... And im sure Heinze, Vidic, Nani and Ruud were all full interantionals were they not?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

yeah the best english player for a generation...

but we were the only team willing to bankroll that much on...

"potential"...

for all wengers fantastic signings...

the only trophy you have had a sniff of in the last three years is..

the carling cup...

Ha ha selective memory time again. There was the Champions League final, I think that 16 minutes from winning it is more than just a sniff away from glory!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

actually Wenger's real mission was to get "potentially" good players and sell them for double value so that can repeat and Arsenal will eventually become more powerful then United. Don't think the plans worked as much as he hoped for.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

like who...

yes we spend big...

but on potential...

ruud wasnt a well known player....

ronaldo, anderson and nani are/were relativley unknown..

so we're vidic/heinze/evra..

wenger spent big (well for arsenal) on reyes and theo..

how did that work out??

Like who? Ronaldo to Real thats who, he won't be with you forever. Why wouldn't he want to join the biggest club in the world??

Reyes didn't work, Theo is still work in progress.

Oh and old horse face an unknown? Come on he was well known throughout Europe.

ive no doubts he'll move on...

and so will we...

we always do...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Ronaldo found his real potential in epl , i don't think he will make that dangerous switch on prime of his career

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Manucho scored ANOTHER goal for Angola against South Africa. This was his first official goal of the tournament as the other 3 goals were from friendlies leading up to this first game.A cross from the left came in,Manucho darted from outside of the box and diving heads it into the roof of the goal.

I saw clips of the match and Manucho looks and plays like a cross between Adebayor and Kanu...Pacy,with skill and agility...Big and strong to hold up the ball, fairly tall...I reckoned about 1.9metres, 6 foot 5?...Beginning to look like a bargain now.Raw talent.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

All down to fergie then, Im sure they wouldnt have turned into World Class players without him..!

Well Fergie is really good in keeping players under control.
If Rooney had gone to, erm... say Newcastle (), I doubt the managers would be able to control him, he would have had a worse record than Viera/Keane for red cards

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

How about the amount of Fucking dirty bastard Elbows that the likes of Bergkamp and Vieira thrown at players during their time at Arsenal?? And the fact 2 of your players have a spat and get away with it? Because your a London Club you get away with murder....... Remember when your lot started attacking our lot at Old Trafford? You know? Keown the fucking nob end elbowing Van Nistelrooy?

Why did they do that to Van Nistlerooy? because he was the most Sly unsporting player ever to have graced the premiership! he got away with murder at United!

Nothing compares to one of your players breaking a players leg on purpose and one doing a Kung Fu kick into a member of the public!!

Big ups to Van Nistlerooy with his gamesmanship,he had it all...but that does not give anyone a reason to gang up on him like Monkeyface did?...

Get your facts right mate...Keano did not break Haaland's leg nor did he retire from that tackle...

Cantona's kung fu kick on that fella was a disgrace but it shows you how much pressure can get into their heads, happens to even the best of players like Zidane.Cantona served his dues and the rest is history.

Answer me this, how many times has Arsenal got a man sent off under Arsene Wenger? I heard its an all time high club record!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

I might add that,at least we do not have public conflicts between players caught on video and tons of reports around the mediaworld.

Ouh...We also do not have players who when came on,saying his team mate was shite, twice, before headbutting him.

Sounds like its all harmonious at the emirates, eyy?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

This is the Man Utd thread yeah? I was responding to a ridiculous comment that Fergie is really good keeping his players under control, I then posted a couple of photos...its called banter. Arsenal's disciplinary record is irrelevant, we are talking about Utd.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Yeah chill out lads, Clockender has a point.

all he did was jump up next to him and push him and then shout in his face! thats all that happened. Van Nistlerooy got away with loads more crap that led up to it. I remeber Van Nistlerooy running his studs right down the back of Coles leg once and the ball had gone out of play!! He was a complete cunt!! - thats ten times worse than what Keown did to Van Nistlerooy.

Zidane never flying kicked a MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC!!!!! thats got to be the worst!

Maybe he didn't break his leg - but Alf was still out for a very long time because of it! I never said that he retired from it!

At the end of the day Clock pointed out a few things to you lot - Its no point comparing - he was just pointing out that you have violent players that ferguson didn't do that well in controlling.

In my opinion those two incidents are so much worse than anything an Arsenal player has done.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

This is really boring.

Anyway, back on-topic: Spurs on Sunday lads! Gonna be quite a match I reckon. I wonder if we'll put out a full strength eleven - we did at Villa.

I'm all cool and chill here...Arsenal disciplinary record IS relevant here in this topic of "keeping players under control"...Like I said before,Keano and Cantona has been reprimanded and punished internally due to those incidents...so its fair to say that Sir Alex is really good in keeping players under control...I bet those two incidents are the best and the only ones you can bring up now.

Whats ridiculous are those..."I did not see it" Wenger comments.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Like Tony Adams convicted for drunk driving? Worse than that? and then the cunt got an mbe.

Much worse than Tony adams - he only did himself damage.....and a lamp post :)

Did Roy Keane or Cantona get an MBE?

Of course they are the best two - they were the most violent acts ever in Premiership history!! and both by United players.

You have a knack of bringing up anything unrelated to a conversation

What has Wenger not seeing things got to do with Man U and controlling players?!!

This is silly anyway - I'm right and your wrong, lets just leave it there :)

*yawn* Thats your ideology and I dont have to agree with it.I hate arsenal with a passion. I AM right and its up to you to judge so lets just leave it there.:)

And..I'll take your line "You have a knack of bringing up anything unrelated to a conversation" as a form of your excuse ok mate? ;) No hard feelings.
