Manchester United Thread

what about your reputation? no matter how you look at it, you got battered AT HOME against coventry. if we had los to newcastle its not too bad as they are a premiership side and have a decent squad

we lost to Southend last year and we weren't arsed then either. Like I said, it's not important unless you somehow get to the final stages.
Nice to see you lot bragging again though. You've been quiet for a couple of seasons.

United were battered by a very good Coventry team last night. The Red Devils didn't hold the ball well and it was obvious that their kids had not played many games together. Good to see the Arsenal fans giving the United supporters sh*t again, you can tell they are winning. The Arsenal thread is DEAD when the Goons are losing.

Anyway, I'm sure Fergie won't lose any sleep over last night's result. B'ham away next and then Roma at home in the Champions League. Two tough fixtures.

Manchester United: Kuszczak; Bardsley (Brown, 46), Pique, Evans (Carrick, 56), Simpson; Martin (Campbell, 46), O’Shea (c), Anderson, Nani; Eagles, Dong.
Subs not used: Heaton, A.Eckersley.

Pretty good side if you ask me with almost all having the potential of breaking into the first team. Its a big disappointment really as pointed out by Sir Alex.He really did want this bunch to go all the way in the carling cup.

It would seem that whilst teams like Arsenal and City can afford to rest virtually the whole team and still beat Coca Cola League opposition, those not fortunate enough to have a similar strength in depth cannot afford similar luxuries.

Harsh lesson learned for Taggart.......lol

I don't think many United supporters are losing sleep after getting knocked out of the Carling Cup. Anyway, Roma on Tuesday. How do you guys think United will handle that one? I think the Red Devils could go a long way in Europe this year with the way they are playing by keeping the ball for long spells. A few goals (instead of 1-0s) over the next few matches would do them the world of good. If they get half as many against Roma as last year they will be laughing! ;)

You cant get a bunch of inexperienced players and expect them to do well like that. You're supposed to play an experienced side and mix in a few new players. If the new players get lost during the game, they have someone to turn to for help, motivation, etc. In a game like that, who do you go to? A game like that needed someone like Giggs, or Rio, or anyone else who can set an example. This is the perfect example of where Smith or Ole would have helped too.

Its a shame we lost Van Der Sar with only Kusczack as cover.Would have preferred this moment with a fit Ben Foster around. The Roma game will be huge as they for sure do not want to get battered again.

I'm impressed and disappointed at the same time with our defence. We looked really solid at the back from last season but some signs of over-confidence are creeping in.A few moments against Birmingham really showed that and against better opposition,we might get punished and it could just start with Roma.Nonetheless I still believe we got the best pair of centrehalfs in Rio and Nemanja in the Premiership.

I really don't think you should be laughing when Nemanja is mentioned, 'cause he'll find you, and god knows what he'll do with you when that happens...

Try to bum me probably.

Vidic is a good centre half tbh. But Smackhead Rio...I'll never ever believe that he will justify being worth 30 million pounds. :lmao:
