Manchester United Thread

No offense taken. i dont have a chip, i'd just rather see things done in a fair and proper manner as much as possible. Chelsea are no angels and have had their fair share of refs giving them the benefit no doubt especially against us - i could mention a few non penalties weve had against them over teh last few seasons, but the likes of you lot and Chelsea and to a much lesser degree us and Arsenal, dont need the helping hands nor should we.

Its hard to decipher how good you were yesterday owing to the bad decisions that went on.

Rooney is like a little raging bull, that runs around like a hot head after he doesnt get his way. He fouled Cole after the ball had gone a minute after picking up a booking because he got frustrated losing the ball, should be a yellow.

The reason Cole wasnt sent off was because they already had a man off in dubious circumstances, it was never a red for Mikel, in fact it was a good block tackle ball first, at worst if a referee is going to give it a freekick and nothing else. And whose to say Cole would have made that tackle if they hadnt been so unjustly treated in that match?

Missed the Cole penalty claim on Evra so cant comment, but Saha's dive was pethetic. A penalty maybe but surely a booking for theatrics? I thought we were cutting this out? Big games = crap decisions.

I saw you play Spurs a few weeks back and the poor sods where robbed. Theres no denying the fact that at OT you get a massive fair wack of ref loyalty. I mean yesterday He plays the extra time, Tevez scores, and it cuts to fergie with his watch to say time is up and the ref blows up on cue! Farcical.

Liverpool got decisions years ago? really? If they were and i cant remember many major ones - they wernt from diving. Was Ian Rush a diver? Was he hell. Was Daglish? Barnes? beardsley?Souness?

The game was different back then where players didnt roll 40 times after a tackle, or like Rooney yesterday writhe on the floor with agony after Cech punched the ball and never touched him!

Liverpool are no angels either currently, Sissokos started to dive and Voronin and Gerrard are prone to it too which does my head in along with our managers constant meddling.

But i can count on one hand the number of bias refs decisions we've had in the last 10 years - while ive lost count of yours, especially at OT.

Play the game properly or dont at all and they say serie a was dodgy.

What a long post, mate all refs are crap but some have common sense.

bitter..whats bitter about that post? I criticise united, us and chelsea, but mostly united because they are on the recieving end of most dogy decisions. phrase its because united do get most fortune in decisions - they bloody do!

go on reel off the fortunate decisions liverpool have had over the years. ill then reel you off united and chelseas. United have better with chelsea just short.

Jeez you talk about me being biased, you lot have got blinkers on. Fair play you support your team unquestionably but how you cant see my point is inreal.

And rooney never got touched? if he had an elbow he wouldnt have got up after 10 seconds.

Whatever happen to Manutd beautiful effective football?..looking at C.Ronaldo up to the same tricks 20 step-over move then falls. Where`s Anderson is he helping the cause?

Well mate new players & injuries what do you expect. 2nd in league not playing great fine by me.

Tbh mate Anderson will play midweek. He broke his leg last year & been injured this season. It happens.

You guys may get lucky with injuries like us last year or maybe not.

your at your best at the moment and your 1st, on the other hand where probably at 25% of our full potential  so if we hit form like we can i doubt even you lot at your best can beat us;) p,s bring on the old times :D United and Arsenal both fighting it out for the titles the way it was meant to be :applause:

My man Antred...if you bother watching the replay before shooting your mouth off,you can CLEARLY see Cech's right arm striking the back of Rooney's head while punching the ball with his left.Just making my point clear without being farcical.

Everybody has got blinkers on rooting for their team,no doubt.Like I said before,if you wanna be biased and post here in relevance to whatever your point is...you better not.We hadnt even play you scousers yet and it seems to me that you are bothered about us mate...watching our game against the chavs and all and be all concerned about us. ;)

Ok, we cheated, we didnt deserve it, we suck. Happy now?
Just move on for f*cks sake, not moan about it every week. We got your message almost a year ago. You dont need to repeat yourself. If you dont like what you're seeing then go do something about it, not tell us how you feel.

nice reply YoungGun_UK & Dead Man I think this might be a good run even if Arsenal ends in 2nd it`s a massive step up compare from the last 2 seasons and to win is w/o words...and Chelsea at mid-table is a fuckìn peach of course it`s all premature atm... let`s see who wins more trophies this season  optimistic at best

Watch it again... he was tripped. Just because the Everton fans booed and you were unhappy, it doesn't make it a dive.
It was very similar to Carrick's foul on Baines in the same game, there was similar amount of contact, but the ref thought Ronaldo dived, whereas Baines couldn't have dived because he's English of course. ;)

Decision going our way, playing ok football but we are still winning. In reality we have not play a match with our full squad. Trevz in, Rooney out now Hargreaves is injured but we have decent result. Taking note that in pre-season we have players injured or in Copa America. Frankly I see Man United retaining the title. I am waiting for the African Cup held during 3-5 September 2006 with the final round of games ending between 7-9 September. Waiting to see if Arsenal without Toure, Adebayor, Eboue can continue to perform at this high level barring injuries to other team mates. Not forgetting Chelsea without Drogba,Kalou and Essien. As for Liverpool, as long as Rafa keep his rotation policy, I do not see them as contender.

Another thing I do not understand is other team fans entering our thread. Flaming other team instead of going to their own where they can voice out their opinion no matter how stupid they sound. Shouldn't they be supporting their team ???

Im upset now...

its just ridiculous that you think the refs are biased towards united and chelsa and they dont like liverpool. You have nothing to back this up, you dont have facts, you dont have evidence. All you have is your biased opinon against united. Thats why you come across as bitter. If a decision goes uniteds way then automatically you think its because they get all the calls because the refs are paid off? As if liverpool never gets a call there way. ANd if they do its because its the correct call right? Gerrard never dives right? Xabi never dives?
All of your players are angels and there is a conspiracy in the EPL to not allow liverpool to win the EPL, ever...

anyway, thinking ahead to tonights game, I hope Rooney starts, We all seen lat night how Torres Distroyed the Reading defence so Rooney could do that against Coventry plus he needs the minutes, Even Saha would be a good idea

i look forward to the match shame it isnt on the box would like to watch it live also i got offered tickets to the game had to turn them down since id made plans to stay in :S also i back some of the youngsters to shine its a shame that the fans dont treat the carling cup with the same respect as other competitions, there should be a rule change all teams who have qualified for CL should be exmept not sure about UEFA cup tho

We lost 2-0 with a decent side to coventry, thats shocking! but at least we can focus on a charge for the treble good job i didn't accept those tickets anyways onwards to the league, fa cup and CL we need to return to our old selves from last season

EDIT: He didn't start Rooney SHOCKING! rooney would have been fit for the weekend and better prepared

Oh....Dear.

nah, blessing in disguise me things (well for you lot)

Great for the 10,000 odd Coventry fans! Amazing turnout, and they got to see a 2-0 win at Old Trafford infront of 75k.

I think the kids blew it away really. It was a great chance to show their mettle through the carling cup but I guess it was not meant to be.Sir Alex did put out an inexperienced squad but a good one nonetheless. Its a well known understatement but we got bigger fish to fry ey?

Ah there it is, the often trotted out "we can now concentrate on the league\champions league" line. If you had won comfortably with your kids playing the opposition off the park me thinks your sentiments would be slightly different.

Anyway, thanks for the great entertainment!

just being realistic. Noone here is that arsed about this competition until you get near the end of it. It's always been like that. Would you have been that arsed if you'd lost?
