Absolute dominance from United, and one deflected long range shot by a certain bast*rd who's done that before (remember O'sheas massive deflection in the CL?) and we're down. Fortunately we are playing really well, with Carrick, Scholes and Hargreaves dominating the midfiled. City can only raelly play it in their own half, but being the spineless team they are, they'll take that deflection happily after being shown how to play football in the first 30 mins.

Anyone else think that similaryl to some of our luck last season (Liverpool, Fulham) we're going to have absolutely none thi season?

Oh and anyone blaming Evra for skewing his one on one massively, its cause his standing leg got chopped down as he was shooting, with a sliding tackle from behind by the last defender. Of course, it wasn't a penatly or a card, no it was a 'clean' challenge (minus touching the ball, hitting the player and screwing up a clear chance of course)

Carrick, Heargreaves, Scholes. Sure, City can't do much in midfield, but so can't United. Dominance doesn't win games, goals do.

I just don't understand the abcense of Anderson.

Edit: 5m to go. Heargreaves is a monster, he can hold the midfield on his own. No need for Carrick on the starting eleven.

Edit2: United got "Greeced" again. Read on a Portuguese forum that Anderson is injured, that would make sense...

Our first loss and it had to be Citeh.That will give them bragging rights at least until they come to OT.I'm not really upset as we gave our best with what we got in this game and the two before.7 points dropped and a wake up call today.Just what we needed I think.

We've had two wake up calls already before today. To not score with that much possession is a big worry over the three games. City were poor but they still won. Next few games are must wins or we'll be really left behind. I don't expect Chelsea to drop too many points.

No marukomu,I believe today is THE wake-up call.I remember when we lost to Citeh a few seasons back and then went on to an unbeaten run.

I'm not complaining just yet.Its not as if we were poor in these three games which is a positive.I'm unlike some people in here,7 points dropped and the season is lost for them.Thats pure rubbish.

7 points is a big mental hurdle though. And the 1 goal in 5 games now (since last season) is a more than little concerning. Fergie gambled on Saha/Rooneys fitnessed and he lost. That's all this is to it. A more cautious man would have kept Smith til January, and he should have. Nothing we can do now, other than get Saha healed (somehow!)

I'm with Phrase a bit, United have completed outplayed all 3 teams, and it's gotta come good eventually - right gunners fans :) !

On a side note, how many more times does Giggs get to start til he provides something useful. Good ideas aren't really helping at this stage. When Eagles came on I was so sure it was for the ineffectual, slower, tired winger, and instead Nani walked off. I don't get Fergie...

chelsea will run away with it i think :( , 7 points for chelsea to concede are going to if any to the big sides, and yet we still have to face the big sides so i think the champs cup is a target know...

Better to have a weak start and strong finish than the other way around.

Next two games are the hardest/most important. After those, Ronaldo will be back with a vengeance.

We finished well clear last season, so if we can play like that again, there'll be no problem. We'll have a fresh Saha and Rooney for CHristmas and the second half of the season. If we can stay within 4 points or so of the leaders, we can take them in the final stretch.

I think we look pretty awful, trying to walk the ball into the net instead of having a pop at other times... Personally I think we are in trouble.

Well,I do believe we need a proper centre forward but its not all about buying innit? It would be a surprise if Sir Alex went out to buy a centre forward before the window closes really.

Liverpool finished the game against Chelsea with Torres, Kuyt, Babel and Crouch on the field. Although it's great to have that luxury, they didn't get a goal from said luxury.

so you're saying that if we bought Anelka and that promised us the title you'd say no?

Anelka would apparently cost £9 mil. it's not as if we'd have to break the bank
