Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I remember someone was saying Ronaldo hasn`t found his joy. I think today he did. He played fantastic and you can tell he`s matured too. He played well and staying on his feet too. I think his spot kicks are just too powerful to hold. At least you can still admire the lad knowing how much he gave to you lots.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I said that...but it was more of a concern for a player we United fans love and admire, still.

Cristiano will never be discarded in my books...We made him into what he is now and he acknowledged that.He has loyalty and pride. He showed that to the Sporting fans a couple of seasons back when he scored against them and I am effing sure if he scores against us in a Madrid shirt...he wont go off like a headless chicken to his former fans like your certain ex-player Beboq.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Incase you weren't sure if you loved Paddy Evra or not, here is a quote to make sure you do...

Re: Carlos Tevez
"I have had a message from him saying they are going to win. I am not so sure,"

"I just hope he plays. It'll be special to play against him as he's such a good friend but he is a City player now and we cannot let him beat United."

"I have been joking with him about the reception he will get,"

"I don't know if the fans will boo him or clap him. He did a great job at Manchester United. He respected the shirt and the fans understand that."

"But if they boo him I will join in."

The man is a legend.

Hahaha..Paddy is not eligible to pour hatred on Tevez because they are really good friends on and off the field along with Park Ji Sung.

Too bad Cuntlitos wont be able to make it for the derby!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

They beat us with Benjani and Vassell so I'm taking nothing for granted. Still think Tevez will make the bench too.

I expect they'll go

Code:
             Given
Richards Lescott Toure Bridge
   De Jong, Barry, Ireland
SWP Petrov
           Bellamy

With Zabaleta to replace Richards or Ireland if they dont make it.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Can't wait, I think we need to be cautious on the break though, they have plenty of pace.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

They've got together a good set of individuals with Premiership experience this year. You can just sense they're only gonna be stronger next season with their spending power.

But yeah, looking at who's gonna be missing the game, we better make the most of this cuz the away fixture is gonna be even tougher.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Its gonna be a belter of a derby tomorrow...
Citeh are missing key players and they will be compact..its still an away game for them.
We need to beat them tomorrow.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Gonna be tough - they'll be playing like the last 40 mins against Arsenal - tight with 9 men behind the ball ready to break at pace. We're somewhat susceptible to that with our slow a$$ midfield.

Can't imagine it'll be 0-0!

Just deperately hope Fergie goes for it, 442 please, Berba and Rooney up top with Nani and Valencia on the wings.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I get the feeling Giggs will play, SAF likes to use him in these kind of games and Fletcher is a dead cert to start.... I hope to god.

BerbaRoon to lead the line for me too...

Only problem spot is rightback. O'Shea is out, Brown is not yet back to full fitness and Nev is not what he used to be, I'm worried Petrov or Bellamy will terrorize him on the break if we have to start with him.

So excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

o'shea is playing :TTTH:

more of the worry is foster is playing, what a horrific mistake

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

It's OT Johnney, the stadium was built on a wormhole that bends the time/space continuim.....well when Manu are not winning that is. :D

Usual OT nonsense. Amazing that 45min of action can deliver 9% injurytime yet when the same 4min. can deliver 50% injurytime when manu aren't winning. Great game though! :D

It's annoying that it happens every f$%king time, Utd are winning and get 4min injurytime and the match doesnt last a second longer, drawing or losing and it gets extended by a couple of min.

Utd deserved the win though, so can't have any complaints about that. City were hanging on the whole of the 2nd half.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Utd deserve the win - for pummelling City for most of the 2nd half. The distateful part is how much Trafford time there was.....can't remember seeing an injury or a physio on. But I did see the fourth official laughing with SAF while Hughes fumed. Must remind Hughes of when he played for you lot! How frustrating for the rest though. Nice goal by Owen though!!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

No injury or physio in the last 10minutes but a goal, a sub and about 5 fouls with long delays until the freekicks were taken all between the 89th and 95th minutes.

Deserved the win today. Shame you had to win it in very dodgy amounts of extra time. But it would have been a lot more had it not have been for Given.

can you explain why one of the united fans threw an object towards tevez but missed and hit another man city player when they was heading back into the dressing room from the end of the 1st half?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Correct Jumbo, but only Manu get that much extratime in injurytime. I remember seeing more then enough matches with 2 subs, some injuries and some time wasting and not a second is added to the original injurytime.

Because they think he's a horrible money grabbing cunt and they were acting like an idiot themselves?

Why the hell do you think jonney?

Same reason one of your fans through a stool at Adebayor.

Yeah only we do Tik. Cos we've cheated our way to every title over the last 20ish years.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

A bit lucky with the added time, couldn't believe the ref didn't blow when Rooney hoofed it over.

Still, a goal and a sub in the 4 mins of added time, I could see extending it to 5. But not 6 (i think it was 95:30ish?).

Anyway, everyone will talk about that, but the real point should be what a cracking game of football that was. City were utterly dominated in the second half, but still scored twice. I could be wrong, but I feel like Foster didn't actually make a save?

Love it. I'd take that anyday over the 1-0 crap of last year. Even 3-3. That's the United I know and love. A mix of utter attacking dominance with complete idiocy.

Oh, if Nani gets benched for what he's done this year, what does Park have to do to get rested?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

All I can say is my heart can't take another one of those matches again. I twatted my foot against a coffee table when Owen scored as well, and it was fucking worth it.

Great match, great finish by Owen and anyone moaning about Fergie time/Trafford time/extra time can just fuck off.
