Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Back on Top, Bitches!!

The problem for me is that I dont want to see the Rooney Tevez partnership breaking up because of a new signing. I think the squad is fine at the moment. We just need cover for right back and maybe another center back.

I think you would utlise the CF in the CL, and would stick with the ugliest strikeforce in the league for the rest of the domestic season

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Back on Top, Bitches!!

Yep not much Transfer's needed 1 RB (we got that Brazilian twins coming in the summer with one of them highly rated) and maybe if Saha leaves ive said before THEN we need a striker but otherwise were good in every position, its amazing how we havnt missed Scholes this season , just how good he is and not missing him is showing a team with great cover

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Back on Top, Bitches!!

yeah but what if one of them gets hurt....
But is it worth buying a top striker if he's on the bench when Tevez or Rooney ARENT hurt?
Forget that, would that new signing want to be on the bench?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Back on Top, Bitches!!

at least he didnt say lynching... i feel bad for saha, its not his fault.

It's not his fault that hes fragile, and then rubbish anyway?

We paid £12m plus for him, and hes done feck all, he wasn't good enough in the first place.

And yeah, it will be his fault if we don't get Huntelaar, because he won't have left.

simply untrue. When he is healthy he certainly is good enough.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Back on Top, Bitches!!

See,the thing is,we werent as critical with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when he had his injuries because we know he is that good and when he is fit,he delivers and his proffessionalism is top draw.

With Saha,we got a similiar story, similar knee injuries BUT different cast.Saha as a person is not Solskjaer and his attitude very much differs.

With his injuries now,Saha has changed the way he plays and he lost a lot of his best attributes because of this.As I said before, his tenacity and explosiveness was his greatest asset but he lost all that now.You wont see the old Saha dropping deep and laying off passes for team mates...The old Saha was an aggressive dogged striker, penalty box predator, head down, has only eyes for the goal, thats what caught Sir Alex's attention.

He dont have that now and I dont think he can offer much to the team, especially when Ronaldo,Tevez and Rooney, all non-natural strikers, are doing much much better than him.

Its best to let him go in the summer if not now, that is my predicament.End of.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Back on Top, Bitches!!

england fans not frusted with munich disaster tribute:

from Guardian

'Fabio Capello's first match as England manager will not be preceded by a minute's silence for the Munich air disaster after the Football Association reluctantly came to the conclusion that supporters could not be trusted to show respect.

The FA is so concerned about the possibility of fans disrupting a tribute for Manchester United's Busby Babes it has taken a "better safe than sorry" policy for the friendly against Switzerland on February 6. The game falls on the 50th anniversary of one of the worst sporting disasters of all time, when a plane carrying Sir Matt Busby's team crashed in Munich, killing 23 of the 44 passengers, including eight members of the team, after refuelling on the way back from a European Cup game against Red Star Belgrade.'

considering uniteds contribution to the national side (3 united players in 66 team) its pretty poor that england fans cannot be expected to keep a minutes silence...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Back on Top, Bitches!!

That's disgraceful.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Back on Top, Bitches!!

Dont even get me started on your lots efforts........

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Back on Top, Bitches!!

So the twins are coming on a permanent basis, next week. They will train but will only able to play come summer.Another starlet on his way is that norwegian,Joshua King.Future's looking bright and big ups to the scouts for these 'investments'.

Saha came out on reports today that he intend to do well for us in the next few weeks, nothing mentioned about the injury however. Is he injured or is he not? Sounds like a cover-up to me...

theres also an italian striker in the youth team getting alot of good press...

the twins could possibly play in the olympics this summer...

interview was done prior to him injuring himself...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Back on Top, Bitches!!

Hoping for a good win today. Duberry kept us out at Old Trafford but he isn't playing today. 1-3 to us I reckon.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Back on Top, Bitches!!

Bloody hell you're confident! Reading are a good side mate, I don't think we'll steam roller them.

EDIT: We are killing Reading apparantly but they just had a clear chance but fluffed it. Phew.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Back on Top, Bitches!!

not at our best today...

we had chance after chance at times...

and to be fair reading gave us a good game...

still, it was just about the points today....

good ball from tevez for rooneys goal (and a nice finish from rooney)

ronaldo ran 3/4's of the pitch for his 23rd of the season, he could have had another 2 or 3 tho...

another good performance from carrick, who should have scored...

its good to see players getting abit of form at this time of the season...

16 games to go, 10th Prem on its way!!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Yep , was one of those days, we didnt play well, BUT we won which made it a great result, we need to get some distance on Arsenal , the last 5 games of the season for us are much tougher than Arsenals like going to Stamford Bridge is one of them

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

This is why we're champions. We didn't play our best but still won 2-0 at a ground which teams like Liveryawn have lost this season.

Bring on Spurs next Sunday! :)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

is there a site to see every upcoming man utd matches and times???

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Rooney had the goal against arsenal taken off him by the Dubious Goal panel..

Rooney:

"I don't know who gives and doesn't give these goals," he said. "Over the last three years, Frank Lampard has had about 50 deflected goals and never had one took off him. "I've had one deflected goal and had it took off me, so maybe they need to look at the game a bit closer."

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

We're getting £800,000 for the trip apparantly. I hope Rooney or Ronny don't get injured, they are vital to us winning trophies this season.
