Play Rooney in Scholes position until the end of the season with Ruud and Saha up front.

Giggs is crap in midfield

^^He better be. If i were van nistelrooy id be pissed off seeing my goal position at top scorer getting chance to win goalden boot, being beaten by Henrys simply cuz he wasnt playing.
do you think henry and ruud are concern about golden boot, neither players are selfish

Hi all!
Ruud will get his chance back, no doubt. I think Fergie just doesn't want to miss out on a chance to get Saha back to his best form. At the beginning of this season we were all hearing comments about how Louie should be sold, but I think now we'll be seeing a return on the investment made a few years ago, FINALLY!

As for new players, if I've noticed anything the past season or two is that we really need a classic attacking playmaker, probably more than we need a DM. Someone that gives you that valuable final pass.
Riquelme would fit the bill perfectly, he's absolutely world class, and the type of signing to show the world that United can still sign big names.
As for a holding midfield, I'd say we just need someone solid and consistent, not neccessarly a Keane successor or a huge signing.

So you think that golden boot award is something neither of them want to win?

Listen, saha is a good player. Van nistelrooy is a great player. We should not risk losing a great player like ruud who has provided such service to the club and broken records over the years just to appease a decent player who misses so many chances before he scores like Saha. Going by your logic, if rossi is in good form and we start hearing comments he may be sold, rooney should be taken out and rossi put in?

Just looking for opinions: if real do have a summer 'fire' sale, and a certain right-sided free kick specialist becomes available, should we move for him? I do think it would be nice to end his career where he started out, but not sure the Mrs. wants to be back in Manchester.
Think he would add anything to our current team?

just maybe Saha is gonna be sold in the summer. If he doesn't play, no-one will buy him. Advertising the goods so to speak.

Great news. Our Chief scout,Martin Ferguson was seen amongst the crowd when Villareal hosted Mallorca last weekend. No prizes for guessing who was the player he was looking at!

Yeah Sir alex himself was there at the rangers villereal game in CL a couple weeks back too. So its definetly likely we will sign the guy.

I don't think you understood what I was saying.
Ruud will eventually be back to the starting line-up. Saha on the other hand may face a spell on the bench if Ruud and Roon are going to playing up front, so if he doesn't get his games in now, while he's on 'fire', there might not be another chance to get him to top form.

Remember Forlan's last season at Old Trafford? Remember when he had the run of good form, until we suddenly got Saha and he was back to the bench? He was never the same after that. That's why Fergie shouldn't do the same mistake with Saha. He is over the moon now after playing the past few games and winning a trophy, he won't be coming down for awhile .

I am 100% sure Fergie will be playing Ruud again in the coming weeks. He's given Ruud a break before and the media went wild with it, like they have now. Maybe Ruud should give the manager another high-five after his next goal?

Fergie has recently said that he think's there's finally the same competition between strikers as it was in '99, with Cole, Yorke, Sherringham and Ole. He says it can only be good for United.

RVN works his ass off in most games and his link up play is second to none. Yes he gets cheap goals if you like, but it doesnt mean he is lazy or doesnt work hard. He has to be right place at the right time, he has to lose his marker and make runs. its not all about show boating and doing fancy tricks outside the area. At end of the day its about getting the ball in back of the net and noone is better at doing that then RVN. Btw you still havnt answered my question. Do you think neither Henry or RVN want to win golden boot and finish premiership top scorer?

fine it`s important...ruud needs it more at the moment, but rooney is goal bound at the moment maybe rooney will get 24 goals

hahahaha, hm...i think RVN will play again...i do "in a sense" want to see Saha sold in the summer to spare up some $$, but i doubt that will happen...but yes, i'm sure that RVN will be playing again maybe next week!! we just need to calm down and let SAF do his thing..i have faith in him and know that he knows what he's doing!!

as for the scouts...hm....this will be an interesting summer

OH...to reply to beachryan, i doubt that even "him" wants to come back...as he always says that he loves it in Madrid, and i do doubt that he will fit in this team...for sure the crossing and free kicks will definitly benefit this team and maybe C.Ron can learn something from him too...but the chance of that happening is as low as Arsenal has to win the CL this year (no offense, but just a bet.....flame me if they do win!!)

Have seen him play with RM? And when was he last consistent with FKs (when did he last score anyways).

I don't think RvN is lazy either. He doesn't track back as much as Rooney, but i think Rooney tracks back too much (probably due to poor midfield). Ruud lies in wait, ready to seize an opportunity and that's what he's good at.

he's good at free kicks, not great. Ronald Koeman was great. I once saw a serie A game (i think it was Sampdoria) Reuben Sosa did nothing and I thought, how does he get a game. He got 3 free kicks. scored 2 and hit the post with the other. That's great.
Beckham had 18 free kicks against Greece that time and scored one. that's ok. granted, he does seem to score them at important times.
C. Ronaldo's free ficks are getting better. I actually believe United have a chance of scoring when we get one now. For the last 2-3 years I was just thinking, pass don't shoot.

hahahaha...yes...great that he's learning and improving!!!

what u ppl think of this news?
Ruud To Quit United
Ruud van Nistelrooy has told family his time is up at Manchester United. The Dutch hitman’s brother Ron broke the news to a supporter in a pub before Sunday’s 2-0 home win over Newcastle. The fan said: "When I asked 'Is he off?' Ron looked at me and said 'It looks like he no longer has a future at Old Trafford, sadly'. In the past he has always played down any suggestion that Ruud was going. But this time it was different." Ron is well known among staunch United fans, who he prefers to mix with rather than take advantage of VIP hospitality.

hm....what's gonna happen???

I dont beleive any of this Ruud leaving

Hes been dropped for the last 3 games for what ever reason, the press are licking their lips on what to write

Im sure next game Ruud will start, we'll just have to see

Newcastle wanna buy Torres, and me being a Torres fan, think manchester united should buy him, coz he is a quality striker and if Saha/RvN would be sold this summer, Torres would make a perfect replacment
