I don't think we will....the press were less than impressed about a week and a half ago - now they are tipping us as contenders. It's all bullshit!

I think there are certain aspects where we still struggle, defensively and offensively. Just because we put two bad and understrength teams away doesn't mean very much in the overall scheme of things.

It was great at the time, but it doesn't alter my thinking. Arsenal and Man U are complete teams and have experience in solving the problems that we are yet to encounter.
 
yes true, man utd are evidently the most experienced within the last several years in winning silverware, and the same can be said about the gunners ... sorta... chelsea have yet to win anything substantial, and perhaps that is the fuel to their hunger, the gunners havent made those "crespo" transfers, or picking up a mutu and what not, unless you think cygan... and toure... well nvm :D

Although United are solid at the back this year,I still think they are a bit lightweight in the defence area.Aint got much covers. P.Neville has been superb slotting in everywhere this season. I cant wait for Brown to be back and Silvestre should switch back to left back,we are missing those runs up the flank and those quality crosses he puts in.Fergie is definitely gonna purchase a forward this January.Saha? Defoe? Kluivert? Beattie? Shevchenko? Anelka?

Some good points. I don`t think Fergie would want Kluivert, he likes them young! ;) Shevchenko is playing for the European champions, so he is happy there. I think the Defoe deal is already in the making, as West Ham have already signed Deane to replace him, and `cmon, Defoe is young, quality and should be playing in the Premiership.

Yeah, but we need another CONSISTENT striker, with the calibre of someone like Van Nistelrooy.
I think Defoe would be a superb buy, as he is young and very skillful, and scores loadsa goals.

How about Rafael van der Vaart? the way he played with Ruud in the 6-0 trashing of Scotland will surely alert The United Camp.The boy is young and supremely talented..can play as an attacking midfielder as well as a forward.Linked strongly to United.
 
anyone know that the reason rio didnt go for his drug test was de to the fact that he has vd?he apparently got it from some dirty whore and missed the test as the medication he was on would show up on the test.another dirty scum monkey..
 
yea... the fact that he came for 30 million was enough to make me think of him as useless... the no good for nothing fullback who just wants money... should've stayed at leeds, they needed him there and now look at them, he has done absolutely nothing for neither england NOR man utd ... fergie only wants him here because sven goren plays him :( (or not? opinions?)

This is a fact for once, Rio Ferdinand IS a world class player proven at the 2002 World Cup.He is a classy player but this only weakness is his over-confidence at times,tends to be too cool and his long balls are crap.His positional sense is his best attribute,his type of play is he never try to attempt to get the ball by sliding or tackling but intercept the ball instead,like Jaap Stam.He is good enough for Man U and England(look at england's poor defence without him and Sol).The only thing about Rio that pisses me off is his bloody pricetag.
