Major lag problems on laptop - PES2009

I've been having a problem lately with PES2009 lagging.

Everytime i start the game it's fine for a few minutes and then it starts to lag and plays really jumpy and shite, it's pretty much unplayable when it does it.

The thing i don't understand is I only started having this problem in the past 6 weeks, before that it would run fine for hours, now i'm lucky if i get to half time before it starts.

My specs are good enough to run the game:

Acer Aspire 6920G Laptop
Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 2.0Ghz Processor
nVidia GeForce 9500M GS TurboCache graphics
3Gb DDR2 (Actually 4gb installed but 32-bit Vista only recognises up to 3Gb)


My first thought was that it was a heating/cooling problem but the laptop doesn't feel warm at all underneath, and even when i play it raised with the bottom off the desk it still happens.

Any ideas?

Hi uj you could try cleaning your fans as dust build up will restrict the airflow to your cpu see here.....http://www.instructables.com/id/Cleaning-Your-Laptop-Cooling-System/

Check your firewall as well , this can have a big affect.

Have you blocked the pes.exe at all so that you can use non konami adboards ?

The firewall will slow the whole thing down if its not compatible.

I use Outpost firewall because of issues with others.
