Lost - Season 4 - Spoilers in Tags only please

The one we have (wife and I have one each) is just a PDA, I believe there are phone ones as well but they never interested me as I have never had any intention of buying a mobile phone (one we have we got free with a Tablet PC in Singapore!) :)

Don't have an interest? You're the first guy I ever known to say that. ;))

I have in front of me a Sony Ericsson, Nokia 6100, Nokia 6280 and a Motorola V3. The Sony, nobody can hear me talking, the 6100 i'm using right now, the 6280 has it's screen broken to pieces and the Motorola, don't have a clue why it won't work.

And still have another Motorola that I gave to a friend who works on a cell phone shop, so that he can give a better one when people come around and trade their cells+money for another cell. Sometimes he gets some really sweet phones.

Nope no interest in mobile phones, think life worked just fine before everyone had one stuck to their ear, mine certainly did, have Email and normal phone if someone wants to reach me :)

I haven't had a mobile phone for about a month and a half now... it's weird and I don't know anyone else who hasn't got one.

 I watched Prison Break S1 on my Archos Gmini 400

2.2" screen wasn't good for my neck having to crane down while sitting on the bus

You guys are nuts. I watched season one and, currently, season two in my Monitor and even if its not that "mobile" i watched it, can't you guys just wait until you get home to watch the episode, jeez... and my mother says im "addicted" to Lost, she never meet you guys...

I had a 50 minute bus ride to work at the time, watching TV shows filled the time nicely :))

PSP? Dunno how much they retail these days but I know you can watch TV shows on them pretty handily and of course it'll also be good for gaming and stuff, alternatively you can get one of the new wave of pure video devices, Ebay would be the cheapest but you could have problems getting it to arrive in time:

http://cgi.ebay.com/RJ-1100PMP-1GB-...ryZ98198QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Delivered for about $90US, 2.8" screen, 2gb onboard and also has SD slot for more storage space, but 2gb would be enough for about 25 TV shows when compressed to size appropriate for the viewer, I used to compress mine to about 80mb per episode if I remember correctly :)

For uber cheap you got something like this

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-IN-BOX-8GB-...ryZ98198QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem delivered for $20US only 1.8" screen though

Just googled and found this site: http://www.mp4global.com/index.html

They have some pretty sweet looking TV devices:

yhst-44200596499313_2005_0

$129.50

Can read books on it apparently as well as watch TV and listen to music, also has an FM radio thingy :)

Edit: Hmm found loads more shit now, some really nice devices out there at rock bottom $US prices, great for us European types with our strong currencies ;)

Oh so it ends in the forth season. Well at least i won't have to be waiting for the next one and can start with a new serie.

They mean the season has finished, it's not over yet, not by a long shot. They know they can make this thing run and run, and run, and run... I'm betting when it does eventually stop it's because there's no viewers left, and even then they'll have a Lost special in 2039.

I think it'll get cancelled long before the viewing audience drops too much, big shows tend to have finite lifespans, cost of production + cost of salaries has to be pretty high, a lot of the actors don't like being stuck in Hawaii for such a long part of the year, main actors are all getting very large profiles so will be getting better work offers coming in, in all honesty if they were being offered movie roles prior to Lost they wouldn't be in Lost (well except Yunjin Kim who had a pretty active film career in Korea) :)

Yeah it does look really nice that, interested in it myself, wonder what the battery lifespan is, also need to confirm you can read books on it as that's one of the things I do most with my PDA.

Video 10h , Audio 25h

what the ebay page says...would be more than enough for me, compared with the video-power of my current mp3 player (4h tops)

put an order at mp4global, will open a thread in the technology forum once it arrives. ;) back to topic now i suppose

Not that it bothers me, heh. To add to the current conversation though I'm very happy at just watching it on my lasses laptop with no distractions, and the volume whacked up.
