Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

I guessed it wrong, it was Henry on a horse

Announce Trailer:

Release for PS5, XBOX Series X/S and PC in end of 2024

Genre:
Medieval RPG with realism.

PS: I hope it is ok to make a own thread for the game.

I like what we could see in both trailers. And yea, I'm hyped too.

What do you think about the game, or the reveal? KCD1 was so great and of all time favorites.
I hope it will released on steam without any exclusive releases for a other platform.

As it stands - I'm not impressed and need to see more.
KCD was one of the best, most immersive rpgs on last gen consoles.
But it was also indie game, so I was ready to forgive a lot. It was very clunky, world was quite small, it was missing any sort of dangerous wildlife and like I mentioned in the other thread - weapons felt like they were made of wood.
Now they have another console generation, all the experience they gained from part 1 and they sold over 5 million copies, so they are not a small indie studio anymore.
But looking at those trailers - it's basically copy/paste. If I didn't know - I'd have said they were clips from KCD1.
Don't get me wrong - I'm delighted that they are continuing the story.
But I'm expecting much more than KCD1.2

Mostly I'm also not so impressed about the hardcore "mature" aspect of this trailer/reveal, but overall thining more about it, at least this project has a soul, a vision behind it that many games nowadays doesn't (in some way I feel something unique that could be GOTY like Elden Ring in 2022 or Baldurs Gate III in 2023). Has nice gameplay fundamentals, unique art style, soundtrack and content to enjoy, plus some devoted team behind it that are on the "light side of the force". I'll prefer 100 more games like KCD with more of its slightly enhanced experience than something "hollywoodish" lifeless cashgrab restricted to online with politics in it or riddled with lootboxes (apart from the entire Ubisoft fiasco). The part with the dismemberment and missing blood I personally think it's just trailer reveal related, because of a wider audience and coz' the franchise will grow in popularity, that means more censorship (sucks of course and could be deceiving). Overall I think could be a great game, eventually a surprise that will blown us hard and hope will be so awesome and polished to win a fully deserved GOTY in 2024...

That I cannot disagree with.
You are spot on.

Can't wait for this, really enjoyed this.

Wasn't sure about it, but was talked around by some on here and loved it.

Was the same with Witcher 3

Love ChatGPT's video analysis feature:

The video titled "Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Official Gameplay Showcase" by Warhorse Studios provides an in-depth look at the gameplay and narrative elements of the upcoming action RPG. Set in the Holy Roman Empire in 1403, the game continues the story of Henry, a young man embarking on a memorable journey through a beautifully harsh medieval world.

The gameplay showcase highlights several key features:

  1. Open World and Narrative: The game boasts a vast, realistic open world with a cinematic narrative. Players will navigate through complex storylines and engage in various activities that reflect the late medieval period.
  2. Quests and Missions: The demonstration includes a specific mission where Henry must find and recruit two mercenaries, Ranek and Adel, to assist in a resistance mission against the Bohemian usurper, Sigismund. This involves tracking down these characters, engaging with local NPCs, and making decisions that influence the outcome of events.
  3. Combat System: The combat system is built on authentic medieval martial arts and wrestling techniques, offering a fluid, thrilling, and tactical experience. Players must master different moves and wear protective gear to survive battles.
  4. Interactivity and Realism: The game emphasizes high interactivity and realism. Every action Henry takes has consequences, affecting how other characters perceive and interact with him. This includes physical appearance and even smell, which can influence social interactions.
  5. Daily Life and Economy: NPCs in the game have their daily routines, contributing to a dynamic world. From merchants to miners, everyone engages in their respective activities, adding depth to the game's economic and social systems.
  6. Moral Choices and Consequences: Players face moral decisions that can lead to different narrative outcomes. The game allows for a range of actions from noble to deceitful, impacting the story and Henry's relationships with other characters.
  7. Graphics and Atmosphere: The visuals are designed to offer an immersive medieval experience, from detailed character models to expansive landscapes. The atmospheric elements, combined with the historical setting, enhance the overall gameplay experience.

Overall, "Kingdom Come: Deliverance II" aims to deliver a rich, engaging medieval RPG experience with a strong emphasis on realism, player choice, and narrative depth. The game is scheduled for release on February 11, 2025, promising more updates and details in future announcements.

Man the shithousery in various KCD groups on Fb when theres something "woke" (translated =black people) in any game trailer/pics is so tired.
Often from people with miniscule historical knowledge, often from outside europe trying to teach us europeans our own history.
With that said, so hyped up for this game, warhorse has really stuck to their guns and what it looks like made a game that hardly ever gets made in todays climate.

It is really strange considering that main developer is kind of far right conspiration guy ( similar to Musk). He's stupid and lying all the time but damn he can do good games.

You can say he's all but woke.

Mainly all others watching every screen of the game and calling woke on everything they dont agree on.

In the end feels like some both ways backfire. WarHorse in one hand managed this very badly and wasn't honest to market it openly fearing what happened with other games regarding some scenes, and for that reason "they've got caught" in the process even though I don't think was something forced, but some countries see those scenes as controversy, and from there the fire lit and expanded... After that, they responded with some PR statements and that generated even more fire. Regarding this situation, I don't think it's such a big deal besides the fact that there isn't any option to skip those cutscenes (nobody should be forced to watch any sex scene). If scenes weren't there or at least skippable (eventually devs will change that) then this "woke" controversy will not be that big of a deal at all...

The first game was clunky at times with it's gameplay but man the game was so fucking good. The story, the environment, gameplay mechanics and the realism added to it was enjoyable.

I haven't been following much of the manufactured controversies around KCD 2 and the first KCD for being "woke" or "not woke enough", but it just goes to show you how awful gaming discourse has rotted the brains of so many people and how gaming content creators love to farm outrage for clicks and clout.

Ppl ought to push back hard and tell these fucking weirdos to kick rocks. Go get laid, jerk off or read a book. This inclination to get upset every time a game have a diverse set of characters from all walks of life is fucking pathetic. I know why content creators do this and it's because their economic survival is dependent on farming culture war grievances online (or manufacturing them), but if you're a rando on twitter who needs to throw a fit every time a game adds a black character, then you need to sort your life out. Give a your head a good wobble.

Fair play to them.
Really good that developers remember those who helped them the most.

Although apparently only a certain number of high tier backers have been contacted and when people have emailed about it they've been ignored! So we'll see if I can actually track someone down and get a response about it! :)
