Juventus Thread

Yes he appearantly is. This what happened:

First, he was coming. Then both Moggi and Kapo denied this. So he wasn't coming, he was expected to go to Valencia. ANd just yesterday, it was confirmed that he acutally IS coming to Juve.

All the latest news is that Christian Vieri could be on his way to Juve  , well the news looks more and more true, and one fact is that Vieri has broken his rapport with the Inter fans, after a defeat the Inter fans took it very bad and set one of his restaurants on fire and was verbally assaulted, apparently Vieri and Moggi have met and discussed his future in Bianconero and also its apparent that his prepared to take a huge pay cut as long as his left alone to play, another bit of news, the transfer may also be a bosman as Inter want to offload the unsettled striker and on top of all it part of the Stankovic deal, Stankovic did have a deal with Juve before Inter got interested but after Inter made him an offer Stankovic decided to join them instead of Juve, thus Moggi was ready to take the player to court even if the deal was only a piece of paper signed outside the transfer window by Bettega, but as we all know Stankovic choose the other route, so Moratti had a meeting with Moggi and the Vieri deal was thrashed out, with Trezeguet leaving Juve in a 30 million Euros deal, the Trezeguet transfer is not the fact he wants to leave it’s his Spanish wife Beatriz that want to return to Spain because its to cold in Turin and she loves sunshine, this will be the second player to leave Turin because of the wife…

Gilardino has announced that he wants to be bianconero in the very near future; he has made it public that he wants to take Trezeguet’s place; he knows that he’s very young but he’d love the challenge of a big club…we could also do with Ferrari, he was outstanding for the Azzurri, he maybe young but he has a wiley head on his shoulders and coped well with everthing that came his way :)

04/02/2004. SoccerAge.com can reveal that Auxerre defender Philippe Mexes is more than likely to be playing his football at Juventus next season.

The Bianconeri, after the defensive problems they've had this season, are keen to add reinforcements to their squad, and a deal for Mexes would appear to be all but done.

Roma have also been following the Frenchman, but their financial problems look to have ruled them out of the chase, thus leaving the path clear for Juve.

Inter v Juventus, the “derby of Italy” both teams want to win, Juve want to stay second and Inter wants to stay in the fourth place race… Lets not forget earlier in the season when Inter went to Delle Alpi and won 3-1, that’s a very painful memory, Juve’s record at Giuseppe Meazza is not at it’s best, there has been 71 encounters so far, and Juve have won 17 and drawn 23, in the last three seasons in the league these two have drawn all of them last season 1-1 goal from Del Piero, the previous season 2-2 goals from Trezeguet and Tudor, and the season before that again 2-2 goals from Trezeguet and Zidane, as for the last Juve win we have to go back to 16th of April 2000 a 2-1 win both goals coming from Kovacevic, the last time Inter beat Juve was on the 4th of January 1998 by 1-0… In accordance of the past season this game has the making of a draw, in coppa D’Italia both teams were only separated by penalties and the past three seasons there has been nothing but draws, but having said all that a draw is not very good for either team, as for Juve, Roma travel to “Via del Mare” to face Lecce who have Chevanton suspended for the game and Vucinic out injured, Milan they travel to “A Braglia” to face Modena, Modena have 4 first choice players out, whiles Milan are sure of an easy win as they leave on the sub bench Shevchenko and Kaka, as for Inter their need to win as the rest of the group Parma travel to fortress “Marc’Antonio Betengodi” to face Chievo, Chievo have five first choice players out whiles Parma are at full strength, as for Lazio they host Siena both teams are in full strength…
The probable Juve formation for tomorrow night’s game will be from Buffon Birindelli, Thuram, Montero, Zambrotta, Camoranesi, Tacchinardi, Maresca, Nedved, Miccoli, and Trezeguet, whiles on the sub bench Chimenti is still injured so Mirante takes his place alongside Legrottaglie, Pessotto, Iuliano, Conte, Appiah and Di Vaio, the referee is none other than Pierluigi Collina, no need to introduce him as we all know this season there has not been one occasion that Juve have won with him in charge…

Other news, after Tacchinardi signed new contract now Birindelli to has signed till 2007, also next couple of weeks new contract will be put forward to both Maresca and Miccoli, as the latter was said that he was not happy at Juve, the reason been he spent to much time on the bench, after such press release there was much request for the players services, but it was all squashed on the same day as Moggi went on t. v. saying it was just a vicious roomer, when Miccoli was asked the same question he said “Im happy here but I would like to play more regularly, I know that the likes of Trezeguet and Di Vaio have more experience, but how do you get experience? Its not setting on the bench that’s for sure” Moggi was asked about the future of Miccoli he replied “he is part of the new Juve and will be a major player in the near future, he is still quite young but you’re looking at the young version of Del Piero” “this season the first choices when they were fit have been Del Piero and Trezeguet next season it’s all to be seen”, it has become apparent that Trezeguet will go to Barcellona, Juve will receive 25 million Euros and Trezeguet has excepted a 2.5 million Euro per annum pay deal, the same deal Juve had offered to him and he refused to except, why? Only he knows, but the theory of his wife wanting to go back to Spain takes on a new meaning, it’s TRUE, she’s behind him leaving… Believe me!!!!!!

Alessandro Del Piero is on the verge of being at the disposal of Juventus after he resumed full training. :D

The Italian ace has been absent for the last month after picking up a thigh strain in the 1-0 loss to Deportivo La Coruna.

Del Piero played in his first practice game since the injury yesterday and had no subsequent problems.

Boss Marcello Lippi will decide this week whether to place the captain on the bench for the game against Lazio.

If he isn’t fit enough for Saturday’s clash then he will almost certainly return at the Tardini against Parma.

Pavel Nedved is still a doubt for the weekend as he has fitness issues to resolve before his former club visit Turin.

Both Lilian Thuram and Ciro Ferrara should be available though after they completed training on Monday.

hahahahaha, ;) Great performace by Camo, One of our more consistant players this season.

PS:Nice one Trez :-) Great header 8)

Didier Drogba says he’s delighted to have caught the eye of Juventus but he is keen to avoid questions about his future.

"It is very pleasing that such a prestigious club like that are interested in me," said the Marseille star.

"But this is not the time to be talking about these things. I want to just concentrate on Marseille right now as this is the respect that my teammates deserve."

The 25-year-old striker has been talked about as a possible replacement for David Trezeguet if he leaves the Delle Alpi club.

Drogba showed Italian fans what he is capable of last week as he scored in the 1-0 win over Inter in the UEFA Cup quarter final.

The Frenchman was a constant threat to the Nerazzurri defence but he won’t play against them tonight as he is suspended for the return leg.

Drogba has already scored 19 League goals for his club this term but he also impressed during Marseille’s Champions’ League stint.

I think Drogba is a great player, he is unbelievably strong. Has a bugger of an attitude though..!

Reminds me of Anelka in his Real days.

First and foremost, Oliver Kapo has apparently pencilled in a five year deal with Juve, yes Kapo that had not turned up for his medical according to the press, left everyone wondering what had happen, it turns out to be a hoax by the press, other news is that Lippi has announced that this WILL be his last season in charge, he will try to take time off to look after his grandson back home in Viareggio…

:(

Stories suggesting that Alberto Gilardino will leave Parma for Juventus this summer are gathering pace.

The Under-21 international has been linked with the Turin giants for some time and showed them his ability yesterday as he scored in the 2-2 draw with the Bianconeri.

Now Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has suggested that a deal has already been done for the striker.

"I’ve asked the Bianconeri officials to loan me the player for one season. We’ll see what happens," he allegedly stated.

The 21-year-old is set to move to the Stadio Delle Alpi after netting 18 goals in the top-flight so far this term.

Gilardino could join the Turin giants as a replacement for David Trezeguet who is set for a move to Barcelona.

Milan and Manchester United have also been associated yet it seems that the Old Lady are in pole position for the young gun.

However, the Juventus transfer guru has dismissed speculation that a deal has already been done.

"Given Parma’s current situation, it is impossible to negotiate for any of their players at this moment in time," said Luciano Moggi.

Other bad news is That Tachi is out after straining his Knee in the game against Parma.

i saw the last game, 2x2 against parma

juve is the most lucky team ever

what the fuck

Whata performance by Lecce! They certainly have a challenging strike force. konan, bojinov, Chevanton.... But i can see them moving to big clubs this summer.

At 1 point it was 4-1 for Lecce

Don't hold back onbisu mate!

We have a team that i regard as lucky in England, maybe i just do it because i hate them aswell

They are called Arsenal ;)

How did Maresca and Del Piero play, they both got a goal didn't they

Ale played in the 2nd half but little to late, Maresca is the future without a shadow of a doubt but all in all, I will have to say that Lecce deserved the victory, some of the counter attacking moves were out of this world.

PS: was Just Happy both ADP & MAresca were on the scoresheet today.

Other news after the defeat Umberto Agnelli and Luciano Moggi in unison decided to cancel all time off and go back to training with immediate effect thus Juve trained on Monday afternoon, normally a day off…
Cesare Prandelli is the front runner for the Juve job, after Umberto Agnelli said “for me there is only one person who can lead this Juve forward and be great again, with him will start a new era, this man is Cesare Prandelli”, “as for Didier Deschamps he is still young and needs more experience, yes he has taken Monaco to the Champions League semi-final, and yes they can win it, and probably will, but Juve need a manager with experience, a manager who can handle and motivate the team when under a lot of pressure, that’s why I think Prandelli is the right choice”, its almost sure that if Prandelli goes to Juve, then Bonera, Ferrari and Geraldino, plus Fresi (returning to base) will all be bianconeri for next season…

the first goal was even better...both of em were great....Juve's defense were terrible, as well Buffon on the first goal of Konan's

Goodbye Lippi.

Lippi confirms Juve exit Thursday 29 April, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus boss Marcello Lippi has announced that he will leave the club at the end of this season.

The tactician has been rumoured to be on his way out of Turin and he’s today confirmed his departure.

"I’m leaving and I won’t be Coaching any more teams," he said on Thursday. "I still have a year left on my contract but I haven’t asked for a penny.

"I’ve refused contact with any other sides. I’ve been approached by numerous teams but I’ve declined them all.

"In 10 years here I have had some fantastic players, some of whom can still offer something to a new Coach. I will just limit myself now to thank everyone."

Lippi and the club have both agreed to terminate their relationship after a testing season in Turin.

"The club tried to keep hold of me until the very end," added the tactician. "They even offered me a technical director’s role.

"But I prefer to end it here. I think this is the right time that our beautiful story together should conclude."

Lippi has won numerous honours during his two spells with the Bianconeri. He’s led the side to five Italian titles, one European Cup, one Italian Cup, one Intercontinental Cup, one European Super Cup and two Italian Super Cups.

Parma boss Cesare Prandelli is the favourite to replace Lippi at the Stadio Delle Alpi in the summer.

He should just pip Monaco tactician Didier Deschamps and Gigi Del Neri of Chievo to the role.

Lippi may now take a year out even if he has been linked with moves to Chelsea, Real Madrid and the Italian national job.

"I’m an Italy fan but I also support Giovanni Trapattoni who I hope can remain in charge for as long as possible," he added.

"Obviously all people in my profession would be honoured to become a national team manager.

"But I’m not hanging around in the hope that the job becomes free. I don’t intend to be anybody’s shadow."
