Just How Bad Is Playing Online?!

when i play offline I can play to the max settings. I go online and its terrible, jerking. One minute Im tackling a player, the next ive been skinned! what could be the problem for this??

Never heard that one before.....

The problem is this mate, the game is untested. Konami don't care about their customers, this release is an absolute disgrace.
 
if you have a shit internet connection expect lag and shitty gameplay.

many factors contribute to the online play, so dont just blame konami for a "shit game". mine runs fine playing mates, so i dont see anything wrong with it
 
It's passable when you both have 3 bars but it's the usual thing everyones barca or france
france are the new inter so easy to win with practically unstoppable.
 
The same crap happens to me, my ping is always so high (>1000) maybe its because i play a lot of international players but the lag is awful.
 
No idea at the moment but as it stands not worth going online think the worst lag you got on pes6 but it's every game.
 
to me its definetly a netcode error, games like cod4 on the pc with over 50 players in one server doesnt lag. then again they use dedicated servers, somthing that konami dont know it exists. all konami need to do is create dedicated servers and all lags wil be gone
 
If Konami cant get it right themselves, they should seriously consider going the way of online FPS games. Provide a few servers themselves.. 'official servers' etc. Then let the community have access to and host servers themselves - allowing for passwords etc.

This along with properly implemented lobbies would benefit the online play hugely. Thats the way to do it on a budget as far as I can see. Sure - they should be able to get it right themselves - but if they cant I would have no issues with chipping in a couple of quid for a dedicated server every month - as long as it results in a smooth online game.
 
i can play online on other games perfectly, just not pes2008. pain in the arse. this and cheaters put me off playing online. the number when playing online is most of the time high, just the game still lags. Could possibly be who i play who is causing the lag?
 
If you bump into a guy called ferba don't play him he's a disconnect cheat. He picks the worst teams then disconnects before the match starts.And yes he has no losses at the moment.

The games I had the other night have made me scared to venture back online. My back 4 were vanishing on me.
 
I read somewhere that enabling the option "wait for vsync" in settings reduces the lag. I'll give it a try tonight, but I'm a little sceptic about it :roll: Has anyone tried it?
 
You could better go take a large dump and read the paper, then to play pes online, that's just a pure waste of your dump-time.
