Thomas, how is the flow of the game? (How easy it is to string many passes together without them being intercepted)

man u are in but not licensed, all the pl are in as far as i know

and who knows what licences Konami will get for PES2008

just had first game, really enjoyed it, its got a feel of old ps/1 version of iss, the way the ball feels and the players react

i played man city V sheff utd, won 1-0 , decided to use pace of vassell and took it wide of centre half before curling it past keeper, really enjoyed the goal.

Cheers for the info Thomas it sounds good as always bit dissapointin no English teams are licensed means I need to edit heaps but only 4hrs of fun to do that, then I'll play it when it eventually arrives via FedEx :D.

Any chance USA or MEX are licensed or at least have real players?? Also are there changable kit combinations like PES 5?

I tried the Fantastia Mode.
You can only create an MF player with Japanese nationality.

What about the one two pass? Do the player react and run faster forward when i play the one two pass than in pes6? for example in pes4.

That's disappointing. Still, it's a Japanese game, and perhaps they've locked it to MF-only because it took so long to program the AI around you.

I doubt we'll ever see it again after this version anyway so as long as it's fun, it doesn't really matter!

In the Fantastia Mode, when you are a substitute, you can watch the match with double speed without buying anything in the WE-Shop...

is there more stadiums than the last j-league game or is it the same. People who have only played WE10 will notice much more stadiums but for others there won't be no difference.

@the power

the one-two does seem to be better, the player who starts the move really tries to get forward to get the ball, but sometimes the opposition player blocks them off,

plus i also try passing and press R2 which makes the player run off the ball once they have passed it, just to give you an option, that also works well.

the coach (CPU) or you decide for the compositon of the team??

Just checking the menus now, seems there is 63 stadiums. Eavch of the stadium has an area of the country where its from, thats pretty cool.

The presentation on the whole seems a lot more professional than WE10 and PES6.

Things im noticing from my first game:

First time volley shots look and feel a bit better, balls dips nicely.

Side stepping looks far better, they swing there arms into it now.

Pretty sure theres a new slide animation.

Game play is slower.

The way they turn looks really good, they swing their arms now, looks better.

Collisions are better, players arent knocked off so easy.

Players dont feel as "on ice" as in the past. I just tracked a CM with Sissoko and easily won the ball, whereas he woulda skidden and missed it on previous games.

You can push people out the way like back in the old days (e.g super cancelling into them when the ball is gonna run through to your keeper, so your blocking the attacker off).

First game finished 2-1 to me, a Crouch header from a corner and a pennant super dribble and cross which left a tap in for crouch.

Now to play Arsenal v Chelsea.

i'll deffo be playing this, probably until proevo 2008 comes out for ps/2 , i dont have a 360/ps3 yet, i will probably get one around christmas when there will hopefully be a price drop, i'm looking forward to some good single player games with this, i just had a great newcastle/middlesborough game on 'top player' level, i got battered for the first few mins by viduka and yakuba, then gradually got back into the game,equalised with a great toe-poke between the 2 centre halves by Martins, and then injured Viduka and was peppering their goal but unable to equalise,i really really like this game so far...

i'll try and post a more insightful look at the game in a bit, but what kevano22 says is correct.
