J-League Games (Winning Elevens)

does the winning eleven 13 J League dlc include their stadiums like the ps2 J League games?
Unfortunately, another question mark for this dlc and we2012 , is that no there's no any japanese stadiums it's just Konami stadium and Saitama stadium for urawa reds , you can't edit japanese players in we2013, also didn't understand why it was a paid separate dlc in the first place , it's clear that not a small people in pes community loves the j league , if they added this inside the original games it would have sold even more outside Japan

thats's such a shame. I bought winning eleven 2014 aoki samurai no chousen for ps3 because it had the J League license, I just assumed that it would have the stadiums too considering it was a Japanese game and the ps2 games had them. I was gutted when it arrived and I saw the stadiums were't there. I wonder why they weren't included in any of the ps3 games?

Exactly , because if it's a paid dlc the people who bought if for literal money expected to have what they paid for , a fully real j league dlc , instead they were too focused on player individuality (player id , face , hair ) and they did a great job, every player in the j league was extremely realistic and too fun to play in we2013 and 2012 , so in my opinion if it was built in inside the game like uefa and copa , it would have been a big thing , and make the paid dlc for more stadiums maybe and like j3 teams or something ,we 2014 was good it had the league mode (missing in we2013) and you can edit japanese players but the gameplay has a lot of question marks and it felt like it was made quickly and not Much accuracy in players Individuality compared to we2013 and 2012

@JamieH if it was related to a Fox engine game : it's totally normal than they don't have a lot of stadiums because it was, from what we know after tons of interview between 2013 and 2020 really difficult to create a "real" stadium with Fox Engine graphical engine. You can say thanks to Kojima who left the boat at the time (when Konami was still a respectful company) to build his own empire.

The minimum was at least to explain how to program easier the engine he managed to create, but no... But on PS3 version it was extra easy to create a stadium from scratch regarding the number we got in WE 2012 and 2013.

@Yosefus99 thanks for your post i got emotionnally touched by it and i'm sorry too for what happened.
I know what it is and i'm still right now in a difficult situation, my story is like if the sky have fall on me and my father (especially him) head...

And i prefers not talking about as i considers Evo-web as my outlet were i can come here to talk about my biggest passion. I know that i'm writing big posts and not everyone read it but sometimes i need it. I'll stop talking about it, well my first passion is much more editing related + stats aknowledge, testing all versions, analysis etc.
I'm not so young and i got a very big recoil regarding games, how difficult it is to create a football game. And it makes me a little sad and angry when people compare old-gen versions (like recently in retro PES thread) with for example PES 2021 saying it was better before where i see two completely different approach and both are good (while 2019-21 got tons of algorithms, animations, outcomes etc. and played seriously they're bangers)
The philosophy is less "chess-football-fighting game" but they focus on reality and try to reproduce it the best way they could (even in Efootball but gameplays choices regarding scripts are untolerable)
Well, every PES and also FIFA from 08 to 19 are both Action-football type but they're so different in terms of appreciation that to me, they CAN'T be compared at all.

Back to J-League versions : i'm a bit like @Juventino32 i found JLWE2008CC the best game from PS2 generation by far. And yes, i agree about the JLWE2010CC exception : seems like the old team worked on it as it gives real PES feeling while it's not the case at all with the simplified PES 2009 and PES 2010... And sorry but i don't like neither JLWE2009CC even if it's way better than PES 2009 PS2 (and i even prefers the PS3 version : it's not a new game so i take it for what it is and it's a very fun version, a bit fast but very dynamic and plenty of outcomes).

Perhaps JLWE2007-08 are the most detailled J.League version regarding info and teams history, but in terms of graphisms, players ID, WE2012 and 2013 put the bar very very high : all models got their body structure, their actual hairstyle, and i suppose stats too (as i didn't followed J.League enough to judge player's ID and playing style but i thrust them)
Even better than WE 2014 Aoki in terms of representation as perhaps animations were coming from another dimensions but players model, skins tone etc. was totally off.

One question @Yosefus99 : did you tried and switched FIFA with J-League on it? As they're K-League, A-League Aussie, Saudi pro league etc. career mode should have been really interesting for asian football fans, not only J.League (even if it's day and night regarding their level of details and accuracy but that's normal : for them it wasn't their country representation league but just one more pack of clubs to play with.

One last thing : i hope we will found at least one DLC for WE 2013 and 2012 (i prefers 2012 gameplay but well, 2013 is good too). very few years that DLC was on a PS3 store application (you launch the app and you can download plenty of games/paid dlc etc.) but they disappeared not so long ago from what i've heard. I even searched in Japanese characters but impossible. For having an O.F. on it you need to convert the option file region (sorry but i don't know how you can do it in mass for 1150 files in the same time, like some OF size i own : i got hard to use Brutefore without having some trouble during the conversion process)

To the JL players, what's your favourite iteration of the PS2 games ?

I myself own JLWE9AC, JLWE2007CC, JLWE2008CC and JLWE2009CC.

I haven't tested 2009 enough but so far my ranking is :

1. 2008 CC
2. 9 AC
3. 2007 CC

I'm especially interested on opinions on 2009 which I've played enough yet and 2010 which I don't even own...

I like the J.League games to play FANTASISTA, 2007 not so much, the tank-like dribble turn throws me off massively, 2008 adds center-foward, the only position I like to play but feels frustrating because the camera influences way too much in direction change and it is very sudden, 2009 is probably the most balanced one, great camera, but idk why the fact the boots do not have studs simply gives me that 'uuh, idk about that...' feeling. 2010 is just perfect to me, I amassed more than 300 hours on it, had an option file where everything in the japanese teams was just very well polished, colored boots, kit style set differently for everybody.

Unfortunately, I deleted the memcards by accident when I making a backup! So I'm considering starting it again, really relearning the game, relinking faces, changing names, relinking haircuts, creating players who have their faces in game files and licensing teams, via in-game editor and what not. Thankfully, there are tons of PES2010 option files that I can rip off for sponsor, maybe badges and kit 'formulas', but I still would need to figure out how to extract the images cause I'm not sure that editor has that function like the J.League one by @marqisspes6

Oh man J.League Winning Eleven 9 Asia Championship is soooo good! My favourite from the PES5 and WE9 series and one of the best out of all of them. It's so nice to be able to play with more obscure teams from across Asia and it's great that as a J.League title it has National teams also. Only negatives are I wish there were a few more European clubs and that you could use the European clubs in the Master League. The fact that you can only use the J.League or K-League teams in ML was a disappointment.

@PenguinR9 nice !

Gameplay wise, I've read 2009 and 2010 are "heavier" than 2008 with physicality more pronounced. I'll test by myself.
I believe 2009 and 2010 are the same kind of cheese of pes 6, just a bit more aged. I can't really tell differences from one to the other but the latter one wins me over by the models that are more kind to the eye to me, they really look like people wearing clothes instead people wearing armours.

I’m still trying to understand what happened to this member, who went by the name Yousefus99.
He now appears as “Deleted member 657698.”

He never came back here after that. And, judging from his comments, he always seemed like a polite and very sensible person to me.

So, what exactly happened to him? It’s rather strange.
When a member is banned, it says “Banned.”
I would appreciate it if a moderator or administrator could explain what happened. It’s a mystery.

I think he had created multiple accounts and kept spamming the same request for the missing Winning Eleven 2012 J.League DLC.

Interesting hypothesis.

I honestly had never considered that possibility. In any case, it is unfortunate that such an active and influential member ended up disappearing under circumstances like these.

Regarding the J.League:
I am also a fan. My journey began with the 1997 version, and I have played virtually every edition ever since — with the exception of the PS3 versions, whose existence, and especially the DLCs, I only discovered here on Evo-Web.

I have a rather interesting story related to this. Around 1999, I still did not have access to the internet, and there was very little information available about the J.League in Brazil. I wanted to know the names of the players and clubs and learn more about the competition.

So, I came up with the idea of writing a letter to the Japanese Embassy. To my surprise, they actually replied and sent me a considerable amount of material, including magazines, books, and other publications about Japanese football. It was extremely important to me at the time, including as a student. I was fascinated by their kindness and willingness to help.

To this day, I still keep all of that material with great affection and gratitude. I even learned a little Japanese — particularly Hiragana and Katakana — which proved extremely useful when trying to decipher and translate players' names and squad lists.

My favorite club is Kashiwa Reysol, but I have great admiration for all the other clubs as well. I have always been fascinated by the creativity of the mascots, the clubs' visual identities, the colors, the atmosphere, and, above all, the sense of immersion that the league provides. I also find the competitive balance of the J.League particularly interesting, as well as its long-standing ability to develop and reveal new talent.

We Brazilians have had a particularly strong connection with the J.League over the decades. Hundreds of talented Brazilian players have played in Japan and made significant contributions to the development of the competition. Zico himself, for example, played a fundamental role in the establishment and development of the league.

As for the J.League DLC for Winning Eleven 2012, I believe it is one of those things that simply requires a great deal of perseverance and patience. Eventually, someone will probably manage to find it.

In my case, I would seriously consider reaching out to the Japanese community. Perhaps that is actually the most promising approach. After all, it was somewhat similar to the real “crazy idea” I had back in 1999, when I decided to write to the Japanese Embassy without having any idea what would happen.

I could never have imagined that anyone would pay attention to that letter — let alone an institution such as an embassy. In the end, that initiative gave me an experience I have never forgotten.

Have you tried searching Japanese forums?
