Is the lag of PES 2009 during online play worser than pes 2008 or the same?

Just curious because I just ordered the game off play.com its gonna arrive by post in a few days time. So I am interested to know is the lag on pes 2009 severe like in pes 2008 or is it milder? Has anyone managed to get a game online all smooth and lagless or is it laggy every single game. Is it worser than pes 2008 online or is it slightly better?

This is very important for me because I focus on the online bit more than anything from the game.
Please tell me as soon as possible lets hope in 2-3 weeks this is all sorted out once and for all!

Theres no improvement at all. If you want online play get fifa as they know how to run servers lag free, otherwise get pes2009 as they seem to have forgotten since pes6.

I've had only small pockets of lag, it's improved a lot. Not perfect, but its only been out 2 days.

I got FIFA 09 and to be honest its rubbish it doesn't have lag however there are many other major problems with it such as not receiving points and wins on your stats. Random disconnects due to bug ready to play button greyed out which stops you from playing. The new lobbies are crap no tournaments no 2vs2 like before.
If PES improves within 3 weeks then it will beat FIFA by far!

I never played PES 2008 online so I cant compare it to that, but I thought PES6 was great.
