Have prices gone up though?

Games like Super Mario 2 or 3 on NES cost £40 in 1992. That's £90 in today's money. N64 games in 1997 were £55, today's money that's £111. While PS1 games in 1997 were £35 (£71 today).

PS2, let's take PES 6 when it was released. Most places would've had at £35. Which is £62 today.

Prices of things do rise, football shirts for example. But for games, the rise is very minor when you consider inflation.

Well I think it's more about the rise in hardware prices which he gave an example of PS5 and the availability of RAM.
Plus, I bought a 512gb Steam deck oled in November last year from Valves official website and it cost me £499 brand new. If you want to buy the exact model from Valve it now costs £649 brand new. Massive increase in price for out of date hardware.

@IvarTheBoneless It's true. Everyone seems to be completely oblivious of how fast A.I is advancing. It's extremely close to reaching AGI level, which means it's intellence is equal to that of a human being. Then it will reach ASI and become smarter than the smartest person who ever lived.. by a mile.
In the public space were currently using very outdated A.I.

Phones are the same tbh. Flagships 20 years ago cost maybe £300-400. Nowadays, we're looking at £1500+

Well, the problem is that wages (and people's general income) most certainly doesn't (and didn't) raise at the same rate as inflation, that's a fact.

As @IvarTheBoneless rightfully mentioned, one of the aspects of "savage capitalism" is that the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. I can "deal" with very rich people supporting this "way of life" (to maintain their privileges), but when poor people side with this (and there are a LOT of people that do), it just drives me MAD.
