I hope PES 2009 does not betray us again in online mode!

This is extremely important that there is no lag like the pes 2008 game.
It must be smooth and players must run at their correct pace and not like ants, chitahs or horses.:sick:
I know that this information does not directly go to konami but it is important that we are all aware of this big problem.

It must not lag and skip during online play or it will be devestating.
I hope the 2vs2, 3vs3, etc will be implemented back in pes 2009 like we had in pes 6.
online tournaments is a must to make our gaming exciting and I just hope that as long as there's no lag we can have this and our dream will be back like it was a few years ago.
Final and formost I hope we have chat lobbbies and the system on the PC is like PES 6 if not better! pes 2008 online system is very blind indeed 100% of the people will agree with this!!!

It will be DISASTER:MAD: if its the same as pes 2008, I will lose every hope on konami.

I agree.

There MUST be the same communication as in PES6, even though you get abuse sometimes....just ignore it. The communication online for PES2008 was a joke.

You can...just call each other over MSN or Windows live Messenger. I used to do this on PES 5&6...and it doesn't cause lag.

this year fifa09 will be Next gen for PC(i hate fifa for years.. but fifa in xbox360 is 1000 time better than any pes in the history)

so now
fifa will be better than pes

and you know how fifa is


lot of game modes
lot of leagues
and a very good online mode


so dont care about this fucking game (pes)

for years pes was only a very good gample play... just that

cause the game modes... was horrible

the menues in 256 color (like the SEGA or nitendo64 games!!!!)


despite of the game play... PES doesnt deserve to exit

we live in 21 century

so i must ask for a real NGen game

no more 512*512 - 256 colour kits

no more this crap

so hope this time

i never liked fifa

but this time they did an exelenten game in xbox

and seem to make the same for PC

I use FIFA 09 forums regularly more often then evo-web. I stopped using evo-web forums since pes 2008 because that game is so bad that there is nothing left to discuss!

Diego, stop making false assumptions I am on the EA fifa forums all the time and I know why I am having the dreams and hopes of pes 2009 because I know FIFA 09 will be bad again!. Here's the link folks Next Generation and Current Generation yet again in 2 seperate forums and make no mistake about it there are people in there complaining about the game.http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/fifa-09/ I am redmoon in the EA forums and you can obviously see my frustrations because FIFA 08 was better but still crap and crapper than pes 6.
For me the best PC footy games were FIFA 99 and PES 6. I havent had an earlier version of pes so I can't tell which was best in my opin..
FIFA 08 has the biggest quitters you will ever experience and corner bug such as scoring by hitting the cross bar and in. If you havent played FIFA online you are totally mistaken about PES! PES is way better in the online department atleast there are no quitters who quit and get away with it. Tournament system in PES 6 I must admit the BEST I have experienced by far. FIFA 08 tournaments SUX playera join your tournaments and they don't play you! The game ends up being simulated. And you end up being the loser despite not being able to play.
And the ranking leaderboard in FIFA 08 is a pack of 500 top QUITTERS and cheaters! They quit and you get no points. But at the same time these players know how to steal points even when they're LOSING!
SO PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME FIFA IS BETTER. I STOPPED playing pes 6 because the server keeps disconnecting for some reason in the middle of the game. Or else if the game hadn't disconnected I would've dumped FIFA 08 in the bin long ago!
I read on other threads too guys stop thinking FIFA 09 is next-gen for PC its still current generation look in the official FIFA 09 forums and stop making assumptions:MAD:

Does anyone know if there will be 2v2 online in pes2009? Or if not, when is it likely to be known? I sincerely hope pes09 is in no way related to pes2008, i dont want anyhting what so ever from pes2008.

Ive heard fifa 2009 will have 8v8 online, surely not? I can see myself buying fifa, its in my bodies natural system to reject it.

No man no, 8x8 is for the WII version of FIFA 09 only!!!

For the PC FIFA 08 won't offer nothing like that.

But I hope theres 2vs2 for pes 2009 the problem with demos is that you can't check that:((
We are forced to buy the game to see what features there are in the NETWORK of PES 2009 and that's kinda sad because we are now guessing a 50/50% luck of whether the online play will be smooth and lagless or whether there will be 2vs2, etc tournaments and so on. This can only be found out by buying the game original im afraid and that goes for everyone unless someone posts in the forum to let us know of it.:w00t:

2v2 online is the only reason i play PES now. Surely they will have learned their lesson from last year and include 2v2 again AND the right to communicate with other players properly. If they don't, then they will lose A LOT of money cos the hardcore online players won't buy it, just the 10-15 year old's Mommys and Daddys will pay for it.

For these reasons (££££MAKING££££MONEY££££), i'm almost feeling confident that they will redeem themselves, do a proper job and give us an enjoyable, playable game again.

Yeah I agree 2vs2 is even better than 8vs8 in many ways.
If its 2 than it can be a stronger team with 8 it will be like lottery because there will be noob and good players all mixed together.
2vs2 is also good to show your teammate how good you are:applaud:
That was the main reason why I loved PES 6 I hope pes 2009 improves!
 
if PES2009 is 2vs2 online i will buy for the pc if not i wont :S

why put groups into PES2008 and have no 2vs2?

PES has always been famous for 2vs2 until pes 2008 came to damage the reputation of konami.
There is 2vs2 in pes 2008 of ypu create a friendly match than you can make it!
But unfortunetly there arent even enough players to participate. The online system in pes 2008 is totally dead!!! Its for the gravyard.

2v2 in PES2008???:SS

I managed 2vPC within the week i actually had the game installed....and we both agreed it was shit.
 
haha PES08 was a total shit. please konami have teh same gameplay has pes6 with next gen graphics and 2v2 and you will have my money. seriously if they dont deliver this year, i think konami are fucked. pes2010 wont happen. i guarantee you that

I think Konami will always make PES games so long as people are still buying them and while ever PES has the better gameplay over it's FIFA counterpart....Personally I just think it's disappointing that the only thing PES ever had going for it was it's gameplay and yet somehow Konami managed to screw that up with it's games from PES6 onwards culminating in the - well lets face it PES08 on anything other than the PS2 or the Wii should not be on the shelves because it's a very broken game otherwise.

There is absolutely no doubt that the latest PES game has tarnished Konami's reputation, next gen versions of PES6 were somewhat able to get away with it since it was a first attempt on the new hardware....but this PES 2008 on Xbox360,PS3 and PC is just inexcusable.

Konami does have alot of ground to make up if it wants PES reformed to it's former glory on the modern consoles because it has not been a good start and it clearly has a long way to go.

Unfortunately I do not think it will happen with PES2009 since it looks far too much like PES2008 and appears to be using the same engine...but then again all previous PES games appeared to use the same engine to each other aswell and yet those games had radically different gameplay in some cases.

I hope PES 2009 is a huge improvement and a distinct return to form for Konami and the PES franchise, starting with overhauling the gameplay and fixing online components. My hope is that in recycling the same graphics engine they will be able to fully concentrate on the important basics such as gameplay instead of trying to entice new fans with flashy graphics and the ability to dive. I hope Konami just simply reboot everything but the graphics and start over but stick to basics of what they know they do extremely well. But I cannot see it for the next game I think PES2009 will be yet another next gen disappointment. I'll be genuinely surprised if it isn't.

I never thought I would say these words but as it turns out the longer this goes on the more danger that the floundering PES series is in of being swallowed whole by the steadily improving FIFA games. It pains me to say it but it is true, at this rate it is only a matter of time before FIFA catch up to PES in terms of pure gameplay and once that happens PES is history because it will then be obsolete.
 
Yeah i wont be buying it first day like the last one thats for sure,played it twice.
if no 2v2 i not buy new one,simple..
 
Firstly i will buy pes2009. Because i'm an Pes lover. But if there is no 2 vs 2 or higher mode i will go back to shop an change my game for Fifa09. Nokami can't make his fans happy with 1 vs 1 mode. I'll remember times from our Pes that was far on front then Fifa. But last years Fifa did very well and now they have put 10 vs 10 in online mode. If Nokami can't do anything news on pes2009 i will see many pes fans buying Fifa this year.

FIFA 09 10vs10 is only on Nintendo Wii!! PC FIFA 09 will still have only 1vs1 so lets wait for PES 2009 and see for ourselves!!!
 
This KONAMI´s guys are a real mystery...:LOL:
Surely this have been a real funny year for they because of how dissapointing resulted his "next-gen" product. Let´s hope they don´t waste time changing absolutly nothing from PES2008 except gameplay and online mode. So this time they get to the release date with a decent football simulator.
 
For FIFA, the most u can expect from the pc ver is 2v2,anything other than that is just 1v1....:D
Apparently for EA the PC is still a last gen machine,XP

As for PES, gameplay concern aside, I'm hoping they bring back the online features from PES6....and sort out the stability as well...
