How to earn a good score in BAL?

I'm playing in BAL on Proffessional diff. level as CMF, and so far in training matches I cant get a score higher than 6.0! *Cough* in a last two matches I cant get over 5.5, even when I score a goal!!! Maybe low % of good passes is a problem (55/35 for example)?

So, what is the most important part of the play for CMF position? Many succesful passes and through passes? High dribbling distance (over 200m)? Interceptions? Shots on goal? Assists?

Enlight me, or I'll be in reserves till the rest of my life!:D

P.S. I'm playing via PLAYER CAM, so it's kinda hard to "hit" the right direction for passes, it depends on camera angle. But with some training I used to it.:COP:
And no, I don't wanna to play via Vertical Wide and other cams, because the feeling is far the best with player cam, you are really on the pitch.
 
Yeah I have the same problem. I am an AMF that plays at CMF position a lot.

Sometimes I score a goal, make an assist and have a realy high successful passing count..... and I'll get a 5.5.
Other games I didn't do much and get a 6.5.

It's so weird, I would like to see some information on what role a player has in a game.
Should be fairly obvious, but getting 5.0 scores in a game you played really well in is lame.
 
I did manage to "catch" one thing for sure - good passes are very important to achieve at least 6.0... and I mean very high %, say 80-90%.

And avoid yellow cards, they are one of the main reasons for low scores.
 
me too AMF but play like CMF. i started 3 times and always ~week8 i got on the bench , and after 2 or 3 matches started in first team.
as CMF u have to make much passes, shoots, dribble and intercept balls... and of course scoring is the best thing
 
when it works i was playing as SS and getting 7.0 or 6.5 mostly, i think just having shots on target helps though because i wasnt scoring much at all
 
In my opinion probably the most important thing is to have atleast a 100 meters dribling. When ever I do that I usually dont get lower than 6.5
 
I think I'm getting the hang of it a little now.
My average rating over 5 games played (from starting lineup, usually get subbed @ 80th min or so) is a solid 7.0 :D

I play for Newcastle United now, which works for me :)
 
I'm playing on Proffessional level, so it's harder to keep the ball longer than second or two without good dribbling (sad but true).:))
I played one half time (15 min) in exhibition match on Regular level just for experiment, and it seems that I can keep the ball 2-3 seconds, not so much hard pressure from opposing players, so I guess it's easier to get a good score (more time to be creative, without panic).:APPLAUD:

On which diff. level you guys play BAL? And one question a little bit offtopic: are the number of goals per game lower on regular than on proffesional level (attackers not so good), or the game is balanced on all levels (same number of goals ~)???

I had a few games testiong it out on Professional, but once i found it easy to score pretty much every training match / game; I bumped it up to Top Player..A LOT more challenging :SHOCK:

Finding it hard to even get more than a few shots off! Which I guess is about right for a 17 yr old..I would much rather struggle through the ranks rather than breeze through though!

On top player, i scored a header and so went to aston villa. Scored 4 VERY lucky goals in the first training match...didnt even make the bench!

its not only the level you play at but you have to be aware of your role a cmf is not the type for sprinting 40 yards with a ball haniong at his foot. i would suggest (i play as a cms/smf) to pass the ball sober try not to lose the ball and try often the splitting pass and intercepts and ooh yeah try to maintain it.

maybe its handy if you could give your formation you r playin at

I didn't understand that about formation i'm playing at? COM sets up the formation and strategies when you playing in BAL. These are often a 4-4-2 variations.

I played 2 more training matches this evening, and in both matches I got 5.5, so frustrating.
 
im a SS now stuck in AM for aston villa , the more passes i complete and shots on target i get seems to put the score up more
 
hey ive been playing for 4 seasons, however i cant seem to score with my guy? all ive been having are fluke shots or lucky shots. shot stats are high 60 to low 70, are they too low to score??? whenever i shoot it always go too high or too wide...
also, how do you make you player learn playing in other positions? and is it possible to learn special abilities??

I play the cmf for A.Villa, they play a 4-3-3 and I am positioned right in the center in front of the back 4 and behind 2 other cmf's on either side. So its like a dmf but me and other mids interchange. Some games I only do a small amount of passes but cover well and get a 6.5 or 7. When I cover well and my team does the same we force the opposition to make bad passes and eventually loose possession.

I tried playercam and verticalwide but they where to hard for me so I play with the widecam. Its easy to see where to move... like who to cover, try to anticipate passes, where to move to make your self available to your team and draw players away.

I also just found out what that auto-move was for :DOH:, its pretty good to see how the com moves.

Do you set the focus on your player or the ball?
 
The rating thing is strange , the best I've got was an 8 I can't remember if I scored 1 or 2 that game. But in my 3rd season, now with PSV I scored 4 in one game after a run of 6 games without a goal - or at times a strike on goal I thought I'd get a Barry but only got a 6.5 ?













a Barry = 9/10
 
In my experience as a CMF you have to work hard to get a good score, that means a lot of running and a lot of chasing. Dont try and conserve all your energy.

A good mix of passing, tackling and running is better than loads of one and none of the others, scoring always gets a good rating.

I find it much harder to get a good rating as a CF, partly because my striker cant hit a barn door, and also because the service is woeful :RANT:

I am 2.05 metres tall and didnt have ONE high cross for the first 5 games in a row. :CONFUSE:

I have to rely on corners for most of my goals in that one. :YAWN:
 
I found it is done on distance covered when your a midfielder, as long you do a good pass ratio say 80-90%.
All what seems to matter is the distance your player covers at the end of the game.
So just spend all your time running around doing nothing.

Anyway, in the last two training matches I earned 6/6.5 without good passing and assists. So, run like mad from defense to attack and vice versa, try to intercept very often, and use every opportunity to shot from ~20m. Ofcourse assists, good passing % and drbbling is just a bonus for a high score.
 
I played a game as a sub. I went into the fiel in the 85th minute... there was a corner, I headed the ball in the goal with 1st ball contact and havn't touched the ball after the goal. I got an 8.0!
 
I got an 8 by coming on on 80 mins and holding down sprint for the whole time, chasing everything, did a couple of tackles and passes but nothing else.
 
in your situation, you should intercept and steal the ball many times, then you'll get a nice grade... good passing is very important too, after that, dribbling and scoring ;)
 
I played a very good training match 5 minutes ago, with 3 shots on goal, good passing (56/47), 17 intercepts, and 250m of dribling!!! And guess what, I got 6.0! Maybe because B team lost 4:1? But at least I'm in inter-squad A team after that match, nice. Bigger chance to see the freakin' bench. :)

Four seasons! I think you need to get out a bit more m8.
 
Ammm, I remember three games as an AMF, when i just shot alot on target (even though i didnt score) and my score was 7 / 7.5
SO keep "bombing" the goal :]
 
more good passes, assist goal is nicer.one match,I just got a goal assisting, I got 8.0 points and made the player of the match.
