How do you go online?

Please tell me how I go about playing online. I have tried network mode but it doesnt seem to login and I dont know where to register. Many thanks.

It seems the only way i can get to play online is if i reset my password before i log in!,seems a bit mad!,nothing to do with firewall,that would be easy!,anyone else had trouble?.I reset password then login,play for a bit,then next time i try to log in...it wont,back to registration page,reset password and it works,but only till next login!
