How did you become a PES fan ?

Hello:) Since this is the site's whit most hard , Old School PES fans like me and have decided to ask you and your memories in ferrets, which is the game that you become a " PES fanatic " ?
I want to know from you, just because I think PES 3 for PC make people look at PES and to forget FIFA and is reason to be born sites like this !

Hi, i've become PES fan when i played for the first time ISS....from that moment i forgot all about EA's FIFA and get stucked with PES.
 
I become it when JikkyoSoccer release out for snes at first time.

There were a lot of soccer game series by many other maker　in those days.
Of course EA also had released the FIFA series but everyone in Japan was thinking the expensive price like a mere waste of money.

In the days JikkyoSoccer was different from others.
R.Baggio,Valderrama　at Columbia,Caniggia　at Argentina,the stars had own appearence it was great thing!

Long story short, I'd been playing Fifa for years and then I tried the PES 4 demo. 'This kicks Fifa's arse!' I thought to myself and the rest is history - especially as EA seem to have given up on the PC version of Fifa.
 
Been a fan Pes/ISS since the old ISS games on the snes,ISS98 is probably my favourite as i played that for an insane amount of time and never got bored.
 
I have no idea to be honest, I was loving FIFA, but for some reason I managed to play PES3, maybe it was a demo or something I can't remember :|, and from somewhere then I never played FIFA (properly) again

I was 6 or 7 I don't remember. On a day my dad went home with the game and after the first second I was sold :).

Same here. Lat version of FIFA I played wast Fifa 2000. I did check-out some of the newer versions, but they are a no-go for me. The first version I played was iss 99 i believe, on the psx, version which I played emulated on the PC because I was used to the keyboard.
What's somewhat disappointing is that the newer versions of the franchise are much less fun. I mean the AI in the Winning Eleven 2002 for PSX is much better than pes2010. The computer scores from virtually every type of situation and attack patterns are not so obvious. You can check out o version on the internet, and it even works online. Seek out WEOL for example.
 
pes was the first game which actually felt real to me.
every year for me is a battle for which soccer game to play.
04 - fifa2004 then winning eleven 7
05 - pes4
06 - pes5
07 - pes6
08 - pes6 (didnt like pes2008)
09 - pes2009
and now pes2010. as you can see, once i discovered WE/PES, its always won out against fifa for me
 
I started playing FIFA 98, then continued playing all the editions till FIFA 04. Then one day, my friend told me about PES. I tried it out and loved it. Ever since I quit FIFA, and PES became my best friend. :D
 
I've always loved ISS64 for N64 (hence the username "Kleimann" I used to have from 2005 to early 2009) but I always played FIFA for PC.
I started switching to PES when I played the PES3 demo, and by the time PES4 hit the shelves I was already a PES-addict :D

So, PES3 has been the "key game" for me to switch from FIFA..
