help gettin a game online

in your control panel (configuratiescherm) there is an option network connections. (netwerkverbindingen)

There you can see all the connections and their status...so if they are connected or not.

Keep the internet conn. alive of course...the rest, such as a 1394 connection you can disable by clicking the right mouse button.

I only have 2 connections there, my internet connection and my lan-connection. I've turned the lan-connection off now so i'll give it a try ;)

Believe it or not, this actually worked for me. Got straight into a game and this is with my router settings back to default (no port/firewall modifications at all).

Of course, the game was unplayable with me on about 2k ping and my opponent on 3k ping. The game ended after I scored... maybe he quit.. waste of time anyway.

If this is what did it.. bizzare. But many thanks anyway.

Ach I am getting fed up of it.
I keep saying I will wait for the patch, but I keep trying anyway lol.

Arghhhhh.

lol me 2 m8, its more addictive than crack this online , ok maybe thats a slight excaduration lol but ffs just let me get online plzzzzzzzzz:(

well i havent tested it yet...at work atm. but am deffo trying tonight.
ill post later if it works or not

Damn damn damn.

I was really hoping this would be the solution.

Just give it a try. This is what i also did. I am sure with having Hamachi also running you will never be able to play online. Disable Hamachi and all not used (for internet access) network connections. I hope it will work for you too. [-o<

hmmm interesting, gonna check that out tonigh aswell.
Maybe you could post up some screens what to do on the settings?
would be a big help.
:)thx in advance

Doesn't work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm desperate...
still haven't played 1 match... :(

Hoe many network connections do you have? Could you please run "ipconfig" on the command line (DOS Box)? What type of Windoze?

Im slightly pessimistic as to if this is actually the golden fix for some people. I mean, it appears to have worked for me - but it may just be that Konami have got their act together this morning or I can play now due to low traffic on the server. Hard to say - but like I said before - many thanks if this is whats sorted it.

Actually I am using a german version of WindozeXP. So the only thing i could post would be some screens of my german setup of WindozeXP. But if this helps, i can do tis :8):

I also found this (in english) howto disable network connections:

I also don't know 100% if this is the fix for everyone. But it already helped a lot of people. KONAMI is known not to have the best netcode in PES ](*,) So it is worth to give it a try ;)

it has worked for me!!! i wudnt lie about it lads, i started the thread! i disabled my networks card an unticked the auto port settin in konami settings, i nearly fell off my chair cos it connected me 1st time to a players room, the game was a bit stuttery but he was a german so maybe that was the prob, but thanx alot for whoever found this out, just pisses me of that konami didnt tell us this from the start an we have had to sort it out ourselves, same as usual for us pc users

no m8, you're not alone...same for me. Behind my player id i have an online time of more then 2 hours. All of this time has been spent trying to connect to opponents.

Good thing i play this other game online as well which prevents me from being annoyed about this too much.

As said i will try this new option tonight. Really hoping it will work for me.

Ok you are using a direct internet-connection via PPPoE. I am using a router for internet access. I am sorry, but i think i cannot help you with that. Because disabling the Network adapter would make also your PPP connection unusable. One thing you could try is to disable the binding of TCP/IP to the Network adapter. You do not need this for PPPoE to work. You can disable it under Properties of your LAN Adapter and uncheck the checkbox in front of TCP/IP. Here is an example (its german but you should see what i mean):

Looks like there is a patch available from KONAMI now...

But i cannot connect to the Update Server right now, maybe overloaded ...

that's the same sentence that i had a week ago.
Then it said i did not have the newest version yet. Went to update page, couldnt find shit.
A week later suddenly it said i DID have the most recent version.

And now a patch come out saying we DONT have the most recent version.

I give up :P

It looks like konami have released a patch, or rather patched the servers and not released a client patch

but its not lettin any1 online now its sayin theres an update but u cant get to it yet ffs typical init

Why would you spend two hours trying to get it working, when even if you do all you will get is a laggy piece of shit
