help gettin a game online

can any1 confirm they have had a online game usin xp? infact any help regardin settins used an operatin systems that peeps have got an online game goin with might help, i am in the dark ere, dont wanna mess with my pc settins to much incase its just the servers

I got 2 friendly games last night using XP with SP2. These were at about 11:30pm.

The first wasn't too bad at all, minimal lag that didn't affect the gameplay.

The second was going at double speed though! It was so quick that I went 3-0 up in about 2 mins just by running from the wings, so I quit. I won't be trying again until I've heard it's fixed.

It's the servers mate. I've played loads of online games with xp, some with slight lag, others with a lot. And a couple with players that run at 100mph.

Windows xp with sp2 installed. Had no probs with pes5 and pes6 online but not this version.

Did manage to get online, i see the rooms but cannot enter. Not the ones with 1 red bar, and not the ones with 3 green bars.
I have 3 green bars myself so i thought that would make ppl want to play me.
So, i created a room....but nobody came.

Going to try again tonight but am sure it wont work again.

I have XP with SP2 and I have no difficulty getting online... as for the LAG... It's MONSTER!!!!

Had a fair few games, both ranked and friendlies! Bit laggy at times. The servers are defo cream crackered though! I would hold out for the patch, then more than likely there will be another patch, then a sense of denial.

If you receive an error message that you are unable to connect to the server,
it basically means that you have one or more ports blocked on your internet
connection. They can either be blocked by your Internet Service Provider, or
if you are using a router, modem with router function or firewall software.

If the Router you are using is compatible with UPnP, please make sure that the
UPnP function is enabled. Please disable any firewall/antivirus program on
your pc. Also disable the Router’s Firewall function and make sure you the
following ports aren't blocked by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and are

TCP Ports: 80, 443, 8800-8899, 14020
UDP Ports: from 5730 to 5739

I have no router. Even with firewall and antivirus turned off (which is basically the same as screaming "please infect me" ) i still have no succes.

So fuck Konami's router and port story.

XP SP2 here and still no games. Feels like im being laughed at

Something else weird I noticed was it sits there saying "Testing Network Environment" for AGES before giving me the login screen.

Then most people have red lines in their connection speed indicator, but regardless of whos game I try and join I just get Could Not Access.

Thought I'd try the game online? Finally connects to the servers. Can I play anyone? NO!! Why can't you connect to anyone online?!


This game is cack, I never thought I'd say that about PES

Might just take the game back to the shop and buy Fifa. I know that works at least

Just played my first games online. Lost 2-1 and won 1-0 against another english player with 3 green bars. Wasnt as bad as id heard. A few bits of lag but ok. However it can still improve tho. I couldnt get on either for days on end and tonight unticked auto port and got on. It was either that worked or its because it was 1230am.

I had the same problem. But somebody in the german pes-x.de forum came up with a solution which worked for me.

Try to disable all network connections (including 1394, second network card, bluetooth network adapter etc.) in WindowsXP or Vista, which are not used to connect to the internet. On WindowsXP you can do this by right-clicking on the network connection and select disable. I cannot tell you how to do this on Vista, because i do not use Vista. Maybe somebody else can help.

After doing this i could join all rooms. Hope this helps for some of you

It has direct ip options, and we use hamachi to play online.
Hamachi creates a virtual network card on ur pc.

Maybe that has been my problem all this time.

Yes. You definitely have to disable Hamachi, to be able to play PES 2008 online. Maybe you also have to disbale other network connections.

in your control panel (configuratiescherm) there is an option network connections. (netwerkverbindingen)

There you can see all the connections and their status...so if they are connected or not.

Keep the internet conn. alive of course...the rest, such as a 1394 connection you can disable by clicking the right mouse button.
