regardless of what graphics settings i have it on, high or low, and with lod mixer my game seems to be quite choppy and slightly unresponsive, and even worse if i try and use my ps2 controller. not exactly sure of my spec but know its good enough, can anyone help? what do i need to check? what do i need to do etc?

im not certain of my graphics card...how would i go about checking? i installed 3danalyse and used some settings someone else has said but was unsure if it changed anything. what settings would u recommend?

tick the following boxes in 3d analyse.

force z buffer
disable 2 sided stencil
emulate HW TnL caps
quality mode
force 24 bit buffer ( without stencil )

make sure Your desktop resolution is set either 16 bit or 32 bit.
and Monitor is set 60 hertz for best gameplay.
