Gran Turismo 5

I've got the update an I've been online, there is no lag but random folk drive as if there playing Burnout. The online update needs to come asap.

Nothing new people shunted you off on Forza and PGR just stupid kids nothing better to do.

Best to play with friends end of day reason i dont play much online especially racing games to many dicks.

Think i have found AI bug on High speed ring going down long straight to Start/Finish line but its not just this its other parts of circuit it happens. The AI shunt you from behind this seems to happen at exit and entry to corners like the AI is fixed to racing line and it will not come off it line wont steer to avoid like does down straight and will just smash into back of you. :((

I have never witnessed this on other tracks and as said before had Japanese version for while and this does not happen on other tracks i have been on. :((

It seems the AI not been programmed for track properly apart from this i do love the track its great. :))

Ye takes about 10 mins to install then got to download update which will fail so have to keep trying to get it shitty online system cant beleive havnt fixed it. :((

Anyway forgot to add above High Speed ring a new track for Pal version wasnt on Japanese one.

Off to play more i need more money...

Just remembered I got a Game gift card at Xmas so I think I'll go into town and buy this after all. I've got nothing else to spend it on...

The penalty system been taken out of game i noticed aswell so no slowing of car down if hit another well if you hit it hard it only did it on Jap one just tried and nothing.

Maybe to many complaints about it i guess.

still cannot get the frigging update downloaded... keeps erroring :(

Offline the game is superb! I've had a few drives round London in the C4... bootiful!

I had to try about 6 times to get mine i dont know why it errors they need to sort it though.

Ah silly me not being observant penalty system set to 0 in C/B class events my guess will be on later for A/S etc.

Only played this a little so far, i bought the mazda to start with then did an online race and finished 5th after some CNUT rammed me from the side on the 2nd to last turn.

I love that you earn money online, but how the balls do you set up a race vs a friend only?

Oh and whats with the ghosting of other cars online?

Ye 2 player share garage though so need to to buy some cars in SP which is annoying i might add.

No other cars on track either apart from you and friend but that graphics dont take hit and they are the same as SP.

Waiting for your review DJ Doc although im preparing for an onslaught of hate. :-pp (but just maybe i will be surprised. ;)))

Wow just started watching video DJ Doc why the hell yours taking so long to install ? :SS

Dosnt take that long the downloading part takes freaking ages that should be 10 mins. :THINK:

DJ I commend your efforts with the video review, don't give up the day job though. ;) I love the "review" tag when it's your first time playing the game. :)

Just seen more high speed ring as commented the AI are very much buggy much better on other tracks imo. The AI still isnt great but its certainly taken steps since GT4 that for sure im wondering as High Speed ring a new track they have not been coded properly if so that is pretty shocking.

Anyway you can also map your controls in the options you seem to be all over the shop aswell but first go getting used to everything an all. Was abit strange for me at first not having played a GT in years now with me also but i have played it more now as extensively played Jap version can handle it fine it requires gentle but not overdoing it on the thumb stick. If you want i can do some videos but can only upload some replays and someone would need to take it and do videos dont have equipment.

Also the lower classes are very easy and not much competition i might add you will breeze past them but it get harder later on.

Overall thanks for doing it but if im being honest maybe you should of waited to do a review after a long play of it but im not here to change your opinion if you dont like it you dont like it end of day plenty people do and plenty dont.

Im going to continue to watch rest but thats my initial impressions from it.

Mate thats just my opinion, Its not really wanting me to go back to it, the Core Game Engine has got a long way to go before it can call itself The Ulitmate Driving Simulator.... IMO. JB asked me earlier, If Forza 2 and this came out at the same time which 1 would I play more. Easy answer Forza 2. The game engine on Forza 2 feels much more like driving a Real Car.

Lovely review, Dave. I'll probably get the game tomorrow or Sunday, can't wait to stare at those brilliant cars. Oh, and drive them.

I know its your opinion and all im not dismissing it and never have im just saying you just popped the disk in and played first time was first time right and only about 10 mins of play. ?

Now i see you have traction control on also turn it off for starters and turn everything off think you did apart from traction control.

You were to hard on sticks to me you should of been able to make clean laps not spinning sideways left and right surely even you must think your doing something wrong. ?

I would give it more play but end of day im not forcing you just my 2 cents really but would love to see what you think when you unlocked some of higher class cars and do another review maybe in few more days time.
