Ghost of Yōtei

I would say "I can't wait" but actually I can wait as I plan to play this during the holidays. But very hyped. Just give me more of the wind stuff, I would really like to be able to have more intense wind or whatever they call it without going full Kurosawa mode. More games need to have windy stuff! Only the first Ghost game and and Witcher 3 come to mind.

Hello, I hope it's okay if I post my request here.

In just one week, i.e. in 7 days, it will be time.

Because I just saw some review videos on YouTube, I'm really excited about the game again!

One review video says, among other things, that it has the same or similar immersion as RDR 2.

Another review video spoiled part of the ending, of course. 😒 And it looked like 720p graphics or something in the video.
So totally blurred textures. On YouTube, it was 4K.

But that's just a side note.

Now I have a few questions, as I am absolutely unfamiliar with consoles and the PS5 Pro.

Is there any way to lay the PS5 Pro down? Because I saw that an extra stand is available.

Is there a shop in the PS OS where I can buy and download my games?

Is there anything I need to be aware of? Are there any additional costs for subscriptions or anything like that? Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything about this online.

I'm really tempted to play Ghost of Yotei, and I'm also a very impatient person, so it's difficult for me to wait for a possible PC release.
I'd like to be able to play it as early as next week.

Thanks in advance for your help and replies! 😗

there are tiny transparent pieces that come with the pro which make it possible to be horizontal, both with and without the disk drive.
The Playstation has a dedicated store to buy games. You pay a monthly fee for PSN Plus if you want to play online. You can buy a whole year which is cheaper. There are higher tiers with an older games catalogue included, but the base Plus tier does include 3 monthly games which you get to keep if you remember to add them to library before they expire.
Since you don't already have a PS5 the Pro is the way to go for sure but just be aware that your screen or TV should be 4k with hdmi 2.1 to fully take advantage of the Pro upgrade.

Thank you very much for your detailed reply, Isslander mate! 😗
That helps me a lot.

This is deffo one of the games that could have pushed me over the edge to get a pro - but alas, my TV isn't quite up for it. I might have done it anyway if the 30th anniversary option had been available to me, what a beauty that is. But I am sure I will be dead impressed with it anyway - Tsushima always blew me away with how awesome it looked. And the loading times, gaddem! More like lightning times!
Bring on the Holidays, give me blanket and some hot tea, and I will melt away into this world.

@Carles P. congratulations on that new console, may it bring you many fun times.

Bought ps5 for the same reason, but back then was Ghost of Tsushima. Enjoy :)

Thank you so much, darkoj2007 and Isslander!

I hope I will be have many fun times with it!

I played the first few hours with the black-and-white filter and Japanese voiceovers with German subtitles, and I have to say, it's really, really, really great!

Borat would say: Is nice! I like!

It's so beautiful.

After all the Katana slaughter, just sitting around a campfire, lighting it yourself and playing the Shamisen.

It's so relaxing! So soothing.

Am I the only one who is currently playing and enjoying the game?

So far, I am really impressed with Ghost of Yotei. I highly recommend it!
Anyone who played Ghost of Tsushima and liked it will love this!

I'm just stuck at a point where you have to cut through bamboo pipes with a quick gamepad button combination in order to progress in a mission.

Somehow, my fingers aren't fast enough. 👴
