thanks to young boys' serious defence in the first half (and their goalkeeper), I decided not to watch the second and miss the whole party. :(

zidane was looking like he can still have a shot at today's game (like pirlo and totti's doing).

What's arguable is the design, but again, I've seen much worse boots created by Nike over the past years.

Adidas' attempt on the other hand looks technically good, but in terms of designs it's a complete disaster. And all this comes from one of Adidas' biggest fanboys in this forum.
 
These seem like they would be really uncomfortable to me. I don't even wear high/mid tops when playing basketball. Having a second 'sock' would really throw me off. It would be on my mind the entire damn time, and it looks terrible.

So yea, its kinda of like those things people use to protect ankles, I'm not sure what is the name in english.

But deez colors deez days mayne, they are terrible, its screaming look at my shoe.

The 'fancy tech' isn't enough to draw attention?

If players used boots in similar colors to their uniforms would be less of a problem, at least for me.

Yea it's to protect the ankles, well I think, these are actually a sock above the ankle, so I don't think it'll do much. And the lower tier models don't have the sock. I've never had any problem with ankle injuries from any sport wearing low tops, and they just feel right for me.
