Fix Resolution Wide PES 2008 - No demo

The problem is the 16:10 ratio. I use 1600x900=16:9, player look much more natural than super thin.

1920 didn't work for me  I got an error:

"Failed to obtain video memory.
Other programs are using the video memory.
Please start "PES2008" after closing all programs."

If "Nullify movie playback" is checked, I got CTD.

Anyone have a working resolution fix for 1920 x 1200?

I'm running a Q6600, 8800GTX and 4gb ram it it won't let me select anything above 640 x 480 on lowest detail!!!

For all people that have a 16:10 display none of the resolution patchs will work because all will be used with 4:3 or 16:9, and players will still be too thin!!

What we all need is a patch that can change resolution to 16:10 since 99% of people use this kind of displays...

So i don't understand why so many people says the resolution patch works fine, that is not true.

Cheers.

Yep ninguemsabe I confirm that. I got 16:10 lcd native 1680 x 1050 and its not right. Yes the files here do allow you to select that resolution. They DO NOT convert the 16:9 to 16:10 and thereby cause the thin players.

Bugger. Konami should have sorted this. Maybe Juce can do some kitserver magic or just maybe Konami will fix it via a patch, which to me seems likely due to the new option to "Check I have the latest version".

We shall see.

I copied the 1680 x 1050 setting into my PES 2008 folder, but now i cant start the game. It doesn't load it!

How can i get it started?

That's right, but it's a first step to play in the LCD's native resolution. And the Difference between 16:9 and 16:10 is not that big, or is it?

Yes it is! it's the difference between normal sized players and very tall and thin players, resulting in a very bad visual game play...

Cheers.

i guess i didn't noticed that because i never played with the right aspect... ^^ is it that bad?
