Fight Night Round 4 (PS3/360)

Just sparked mine up,on 360.Will pick up PS3 version midnight at Tesco, then i'm gonna furkin kill jaygrim.Bring it on shitface.:P

It seems a pretty good game tbh

one thing that instantly pissed me off and im sure it will others as well is that when you press down or up on the analogue in menus most of the time it will move twice instead of once. That's even done me over a few times going to quit in the training menu rather than retry

I can see how people prefer this to UFC as well because as a standup game this obviously has alot more technique and tactics to it with it being just a boxing game. Seeing as i have never really got into a Fight Night game the "total punching" seems a bit hit and miss, you throw punches yeah but its not the kind you intend to and this became clear when i was in combo training. I am 100% sure i was pressing the way it said but constantly it was doin different punches but this may just be down to needing practice.

I can see the AI pissing some people off as well, i cranked it up to the second hardest setting from the off and it seems the AI reads your punches just as your about to throw them and rarely misses a opportunity to counter and this was only in the first 2 legacy mathes against shit opponents, god knows what its gonna be like against the top fighters with good stats

one more thing is that the AI pushed forward alot meaning i couldn't really stay on the outside so it was forcing me to push them alot but i guess that's the idea but it is frustrating, i'm gonna try grabbing then pushing or holding them next time they get close to see if i can get more distance.

Oh and its definitely better than the demo. Im gonna make Hattons ring entrance tune and put it on the game i think :)

I think this is an accurate attempt at a boxing sim.If you have boxed you will know it's not just about hitting your opponent, but not getting hit.UFC is a different animal, some people can kick better than others, most can grapple or streetfight. But to just use your hands and if done right is one of the best things to see.Sugar Ray's knock out combination V's Dave "boy" Greene was poetry in motion.I just had a fight TYSON V TONEY and i came out with Tyson and hit Toney with a right hook and he went down,he got up and the first punch he threw opened a cut on Tigger's face.Another 2kd's each in the next 2rounds before Tigger finished Lights out with a brutal right cross.Furkin Greeeat!

True, but in Undisputed they all kick/punch the same. From what I've played of this today at a friend's house (from 9am till now) the range of punches you can throw and the difference between each fighter is incredible.

That Cardiff humour i'm used to.In the square ring,not the brown one.:P Oh and i'm gonna kill Grim.He's a bum,he can't beat me.Fool sucka,Fool chump sucka,Fool,i ain't getting on no plane.:CURSE:

Hee hee. My prediction for the fight... Pain.
Cymru Am Byth. Take him out Pepper me boy.

Any PS3 chaps want some fisticuffs, add me.

The detail is great you can see the blood on the white tape of the gloves.Something fifa should do with mud on the kits.

Ok ive just tried to make me and by brother and we both look like a generic face! nothings changed

Just done my 'Gameface' on the PS3 version (pic from EASW) and its come out shit. Literally looks nothing like me.

Anyone else tried it? Got any tips?

Really thought it'd be accurate.

Jury's out on this. Aside the shite gameface problem (which I think is a problem with the game from what I've read - sure it can be patched) - my fear of too many punches v not much stamina loss v not much damage inflicted is true.

Not much of a 'simulator' this... more like a slugfest arcade game. Still, it may get better!

Tried Khan photo and some others and it just comes out default generated fighter all the time on gameface.

i thought this with the demo, until i fought my mate and we both played it realistically. i'm not saying you don't, but that was my thought after playing human vs human. i haven't given the full game a go yet.

Yea, know what you mean. Mainly got this as my mate is a massive boxing nut and we will play it online together and have realistic fights. Just a shame that v the CPU its a slobberknocker - at the moment. I'll have to get into it more to make a final judgement.

Shame they still havent sorted out the points decision announcement that they promised. Ref still raises the winners hand long before the build up announcement.

So frustrating at why they get these things constantly wrong and they get through testing. Its so fucking obvious!
