FIFA World Cup Brasil 2014

Uruguay set to use Hernandez as replacement for Suarez

F*ck me, this is one eventful World Cup and the knockout stages didn't even begin!
I've been to all matches in my city so far and it's been great. Yesterday watched Cristiano Ronaldo miss what seemed to be like 5 or 6 chances! Madness.

I was hoping to see Portugal progress further but I'm quite happy USA made it. In this group I liked all teams to be honest. Loved Ghana with Andre Ayew and Asamoah Gyan. I talked to a bunch of Ghana fans here, and they all seemed like good people.

But in the end, the most dysfunctional teams paid the price - Ghana, much like most African teams, imploded with internal disputes involving money and rebel players like Muntari and Prince Boateng.
Portugal were disqualified on goal difference and now in hindsight we get to see the damage done by that Pepe red card in their first match. Maybe if they stayed with 11 men they wouldn't have been trashed by Germany as they did. I hope that muppet Pepe gets all the hate he deserves from Portuguese fans.

Oh and Suarez... I don't care if his ban was unfair or not. I want to believe he will drop his thuggish ways after a 4 month layoff.

Congrats, well deserved! Slimani's header was very impressive. He's not particularly tall yet he was flying through the air. Nobody in the world had beaten him in that duel, seriously.

Thanks. And yeah Slimani been very impressive this WC, especially it's the 1st time he played as long striker for us (he always had Soudani's support on the left).

Well we got what we deserved wih just 2 goals scored in 3 matches.
Still sucks to get eliminated time and time again.

Suarez is an idiot fucktard i should release him from his contract at Liverpool and ban him from the national team forever. However i understand what he did in Africa for his team(punching the ball at the goal line) this is just....mental. Totally uncalled, Balotelli is more mature than him.

so seems like Xherdan Shaqiri will be doing Ramadan, he posted this on fb
"Ich wünsche allen gläubigen Moslems einen frohen und schönen Ramadan. Mit Respekt aus Brasilien.Me fat Muaji i shenjt i Ramazanit te gjith besimtarve Musliman, Zoti na beft kabull Agjerimin.. Me Respekt Xherdan Shaqiri nga Brazili " he posted in German and Albanian also this pic below...

in summer Brasil to play without eat or drink anything all day its very very hard...

I wanted to ask if you guys know any other player who will do this? I guess some (dont know anything for sure) Algerian players will do same and maybe any french player? or Nigerian ? please if you have info who else will do Ramadan share.

ridiculous to fast during this WC the heat/energy...keep religion out of the sport I say. I would hate to see a player faint due for lack of eating.

In my humble opinion, an arrogant and outdated coach living of past glories.
Don´t like his tactics, the way teams under his management plays, letting good players like Dzagoev and Zhirkov warming the bench. Among many other things.
Well it's your personal opinion on him. You're right about Dzagoev, but Zhirkov wasn't good against Korea.
I can't see how removing Capello would make things better, we just don't have the class and luck at the moment, except for several players.

Although the English press and after a possible loss the Brazilian fans won't like to hear that: Webb is doing well. Good decisions so far, tries to keep the game alive without any cards.

And for all those conspiracy lovers: If there would be some involvement into Brazil's matches, this would've been a penalty.

@LFC Albania: Ribery usually does this as well.

Thrilling match. I hope Chile scores next goal and after that I don't care what happens but it's the scenario that's most likely to be entertaining.

Chille defends remand me of Liverpool one , everytime they are on panic and to many mistakes

Webb having a good game all tho I think he should have booked Fernandinho in 1st half

Hmm, Chile did just a similar nervous game against Australia, but it wasn't Brazil(even though e.g. Cahill definitely isn't worse than Fred).

Brazil doing one of their better games, but still damn dependent from Neymar.
But still hope Neymar will get a yellow card one time for jumping into opponents, such a diver sometimes..

That is BRAVE from Webb. Completely correct too, but would the ref from the first match have given handball there? Would he f*ck...

what are those bbc commentators up to? that was a clear handball yet they keep saying "huge call", "huge call". well done to webb, btw.

Suarez should consider firing his PR guy after his latest official statement... "I fell with an open mouth" my ass.
