Italia - Costa Rica is on
the Ticos seem composed on defense in the first few minutes, but a bit rushed while they get the ball.
it'd be great for them (and Concacaf) if they manage can get a good result

EDIT: haha! an italian defender gave a back pass to Buffon and he looked ridiculously slow (conceding a corner kick in the process), as if he had weights strapped in all of his body. I'll try to post a gif of it

Oh, oh, oh, oh. That ref is quite weak. Clearly a yellow for Douarte at the very beginning for a tactical foul and now the penalty for Costa Rica.

Still hope for Costa Rica and Uruguay to advance.

EDIT: YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! Deserved so far.

It was penalty but glad Costa Rica scored , now I hope they win and Uruguay and Costa Rica go thru

That was indeed a clear penalty. But after the 1-0 it doesn't really matter anymore.

I always liked Bryan Ruiz a lot, he was fantastic in Gent and Twente. Not a success in England, but he played in a very bad team...

wouldn`t it be 2-0 if the pen was given? Im shock Mario didn`t move to either side and slot the ball in. Pirlo stop (2)touching the ball and move to the 1 touch passing :WORSHIP:

No it wouldn't bebo, the penalty happened before the goal and the penalty would have completely changed the match...

seemed like Italy wouldn't have had a chance to score even if the refs added 30 more minutes to the game.

Watching mid and South Americans celebrate or do virtually anything makes the rest of the teams look like emotionless freaks lol
 
Now only Uruguay needs to beat Italy in the final round and I'm happy with this group. :D

Great performance by Costa Rica, made both Uruguay and Italy look like amateurs on the pitch.

It's official: i'm in love with Costarica! Can't say i'm happy with our performance, but seriously, how can u not admire their composure and intensity.
Congrats! The cindarella of the group turned worthy group leaders.

Them Ticos looked like track champions every time they had the ball, when on the opposite half the Italians looked like they were jogging.

Too many offsides and players falling around killed the momentum of the game and Cassano had me scratching my head on why he was passing the ball backwards each time he was in possession of it.

Anyway... congrats Costa Rica.
