Wow, who's that idiot that kept shooting in Norway's team instead of making assist? At least one goal has been ruined thanks to that guy.

So we are heading to the semifinal with 2 QF games already gone right now.

I won't say this year's World Cup semifinal isn't too bad. All four semifinalists were the pre-tournament favorites according to some bookmakers to win this year's World Cup (and also, the one that were in Top 4 FIFA Rankings). But still, what all four teams did throughout the World Cup didn't impressed everyone so much.

Norway vs England game was pretty boring to watch. Haaland doesn't show up at all as if he's acting like the "ghost". Norway were quite better for the 1st half, especially with that banger. But when the 2nd half comes out, after Bellingham scored an equaliser (and the winning goal in the extra time), they looked like an average team with neither Norwegians actually wanting to shoot the ball through the goal.

Argentina vs Switzerland, well, same terrible matchup. Switzerland were clearly tiring and lacked the quality when needed to frustrate Argentina heavily just as Cape Verde and Egypt did. And that Embolo's harsh red card equaliser really hurts Switzerland at all. Makes me wonder did Infantino put his hands on corrupt officials, FIFA referees are completely favoring Lionel Messi again instead of Infantino's own country and now their World Cup road is piece of cake.

Now I think the winner of France vs Spain semifinal are deserved to be the World Cup winner, but Argentina always benefits in tournament (whether VAR or judges), and I'm pretty sure England will somehow find a way to upset defending champions and become one of the finalist. France vs England final is still possible for me.

Same for France vs Spain. Hope Mbappe finally gets a revenge against Yamal after the previous losses with France (Euro 2024 semifinal, 2025 Nations League)

England beating Argentina will be a great moment for the English Football. 1986 and 1998 revenge deservedly so for England (they had actually did that in 2002 with David Beckham's penalty). Moron FIFA better not cheat.
 
Argentina has been suffering against sides that propose a physical game (by imposing physical force or by running like hell). Argentina doesn't have those kind of physical players. Every opponent has been exploiting that so far.
Having watched England through the tournament, doubt they will go with that. I say it's time for Argentina to play to their possibilities again.

Same mate. England vs Argentina could be a cagey affair. Both teams did have big disadvantages of player fatigue after battling through extra time in the QF, and they didn't look so convincing on their every single game since group stage unlike France.

For me, I have Spain in the final, most likely Argentina too. Based on pre-tournament prediction. But France is quite strong enough to win the World Cup, and England can cause a huge upset.

True but good teams find a way to win. Argentina keep finding a way as do England so I agree it should be good. There's the England Argentina grudge aspect too. I'm sure we're going to see the obligatory Maradona hand ball goal followed by the Maradona dribble in the pre show package 😄

@rockstrongo Yeah France have been the most dominant in their matches.

Bit of animosity makes for an aggressively congested match. As you say ... Spicy!
I can't see France doing to Spain what they have done to everyone else. Surely this match will be closely contested.

In Euro 2024 semifinal, Spain were the better team overall with their main midfield Rodri still being good before the ACL injury with Manchester City shortly after the Euro, plus Dani Olmo, Lamine Yamal, and Nico Williams having such a good performance, with Yamal scoring the infamous banger during that semifinal. France had their disappointing campaign where they only scored 1 open play goal throughout the tournament, and that was during the Spain game itself (goal by Kolo Muani).

In the Nations League semifinal, Spain were also the better team. Even though the result was pretty much close affair with 9 goals thriller, the 3 goals scored by France during the last 11 minutes happened when Spain thought the game was over with the score being 5-1. I remembered when France are used to play Kalulu and Lenglet on their CB role during that game instead of Saliba and Upamecano, and the gamble didn't worked at all.

France in this World Cup is a different animal unlike Spain. They didn't only have "World Cup" version of Mbappe, but also Ballon d'Or winner Dembele and Golden Boy winner Doue, as well as Olise; all having such a good performance with their club (even though Olise might be the unluckiest one for the national team's case). Even Barcola too could be a difference-maker. Something that they didn't achieve during the Euro 2024 and the Nations League encounter.

Yamal hasn't been quite well in this World Cup, only 1 goal so far for him, but that was due to the fitness issue with him as he's slowly recovering from that injury before the World Cup.

If France plays the same way as they did in the previous games, Spain can lose. If Spain plays "normally", they win. Unai Simon needs to be benched for this game. He isn't an ideal keeper choice for handling this France's ridiculous attack. Belgium literally exploited this Spain's weaknesses after they scored an equaliser at the end of 1st half. Still, I'm very surprised to see their coach benching David Raya and Joan Garcia; they led their own clubs to the historic league triumph, especially Raya. While poor Simon only led his Bilbao team to almost getting relegated from La Liga.

Or maybe, another hatewatch by English player just like David Beckham did in 1998.

Hopefully, Jude Bellingham must escape this "hatewatch". There will be no more football shenanigans this time.
