Lets look at it this way if. If a team like Korea, who are ranked 49, won the World Cup, should they shoot into the top 5? Of course not.
So why should we expect Italy to be higher than they currently are?

of course yes . unless they do it by beating tunisia in the 1/8 , togo in the 1/4 angola in the 1/2 and saudia arabia in the final and they loose all their games after the world cup .
read the calculation rules and try to find better than that to make a league-like world ranking .

exactly mate . and because of that you can't just make a ranking by estimating the teams strengh each month . you need to have a calculation procedure and give point .
no one ever complains on the premier league ranking or other leagues :roll:
