Wow.

If that's all they can show, it must be an absolute wreck of a game.

Even the tagline suggests it's the same game but it loads (or plays) faster...

I notice the fans still don't follow the ball either. All the talk about how incredible the atmosphere will be on next-gen consoles and they still look dead ahead?

From what little gameplay you can see, it looks like a straight port. Sigh.

Impossible to say for sure. I'd guess "until next year" because everything's ready to be ported across now, and I'm guessing they just launched the PC version as-is so that they had something to launch in September as opposed to December. But who knows.

I'm guessing 1v1s are still a thing, so they've added these animations so that players don't appear to just stand still like statues, while this weird 1v1 volta sport that they've invented is played elsewhere on the pitch. Can't wait to see my midfielders peel a banana while not tracking back. :PP

What about Messi's trademark vomiting on the pitch? They shouldn't use the word authentic 100 times if that's not in the game.
 
Couldn't be less interested in the stuff they have to show/say about this. I should be disappointed but I fully expected this kind of garbage. It feels as irrelevant to me as toy adverts on TV aimed at kids, but I suppose it pretty much is that at this point.

Roll on PS6 if this is their big reveal of "next-gen" improvements. Can't imagine them doing anything but rehashing this for the whole PS5 generation. Maybe they will add ray-tracing for improved sweaty foreheads next year.

I assume it'll be like the Madden demonstration where the turning, cuts, etc are less stilted and robotic. As expected, nothing about player awareness, 1v1 defending, the fact that the game resembles basketball more than football.

Oh well, I can buy the PS4 version for 26 bucks thanks to Black Friday sales. Outside of dicking around in FM, I haven't touched a football game in like three weeks. I'll try anything at this point. Despite how bad it might be, I'm curious to see it on my PS5.

I guess this is all we have to look forward to. Graphical touches and gameplay that's made for the League of Legends generation.

Ah well. Gaming is over for sim guys, I guess.

I would say intially maybe - But the PC version will eventually have gameplay mods, taking it gameplay wise above the next gen consoles.
As for me personally FIFA 20 was unplayable until Paul2k released his gameplay mods.

As for the graphical improvements over PC, I am waiting to see what these are - As EA initially said graphical improvements above anything ever seen on PS4.
Anyone who has played the PC and PS4 versions will know the PC version on Ultra is graphically a lot better than the console version, in regards to crowds, grass textures and player likeness.

Also I hope you can turn off the PS5 Haptics - I don't play on my PS5 much, but on F1 2020, the constant vibration from the controller just absolutely winds me up, so I had to disable controller vibration.

Be interested to see the results of this issue with player likeness. If they all take a stand (which it looks like) what are EA going to do. If I was Konami I'd be offering to pay the players lawyer fees.

I don't like Zlatan and Bale piping up.............but Zlatan especially has a point....

As for Bale, Beckham MK II in terms of ability.

That's the strangest description of Bale I've ever read. I know it's now fashionable to say he's not very good but go check his numbers in England and Spain, the trophies and how many winners he's scored in finals.....FIFA's warping of the game has started crossing over to real life now.

I know your clearly a hateful Liverpool fan..

But how was Beckham a one trick pony?
He is the best dead ball specialist, I have seen in my lifetime and one of the best passers and crossers of the ball in world football.
Beckham would easily be in the England all time eleven, and one of only a handful of world class players England has ever produced.

You called Bale - Beckham MKII, there couldn't be two players more different in world football.

By now they would have released more buzz words to go with the next gen release. My guess is its going to be the same pc game played on ultra with an ssd. Basically what we had 4 years ago except the gameplay is worse

If people think there's new gameplay... Yeah.... Better focus on that extra second in loading time

If that is true, how come in the promotional video released by EA does it take 8 seconds to get from menu to match?

I think one is the PS4 game being played on PS5, and the other is the PS5 game on PS5 - just a guess.

Either that or it's a complete lie, but if they're as specific as stating the exact amount of seconds, they're surely not lying...
