According to the toml file, my userdata folder is located within the "FIFA 09 Recomp" folder. I think it's also shown in the log.
I don't know why it decided to write things to the D:\ drive though, I also saw those lines in the log.
I'll try the new files and let you know, thanks!
 
Nope, it still fails while trying to create the files in D:\ even with the new exe and the new dll's:

And I don't know why it still wants to use D:\ instead of using a "local" folder (a subdirectory of the "FIFA 09 Recomp" folder I mean). There's no way to change that behaviour in the .toml file unfortunately (at least as far as I can see).

The D:\ is not the root cause. That is referring to a local drive within the emulated Xbox environment.

If you're willing to run a diagnostic helper, we may be able to diagnose where the issue is occurring. If you extract this to the recomp folder, run the diagnostic, then attempt to run the recomp, it should generate a FIFA 09 diagnostic txt file. Hi, sorry if this is kinda out of topic.

I've updated my xenia-edge to xenia-edge@791440756 to play FIFA 06 RTWC (finally with sound without crashing). But when I played Winning Eleven X (or PES6), the cut scene suddenly speeds up almost 2x (video provided), but the replay scene is fine (no speed up). Is there anyone who know how to fix this? It's kinda annoying tbh.

FIFA 08 is working, man! 🤩
FIFA 09, on the other hand, still doesn't.
Despite having the new DLL's in place, it crashes after the red splash screen with the game name (before the EA logo gets loaded).
I'll also try FIFA 10, out of curiosity... But already being able to play a proper version of FIFA 08 on PC is insane. Something I wouldn't have thought possible until a couple of weeks ago.

Each has different DLLs. I made the most progress with 08. You should be able to play with a high refresh rate, max LODs, and hopefully minimal graphical issues.
 
Yes I can confirm that FIFA 08 looks better than it does in Xenia (using Canary, for that) and that it runs smoothly.
The biggest challenge so far in getting it to run has been changing the language (it would start in French and wouldn't offer me the chance to switch to another language) but I managed to change language adding the user_language = 6 string in the .toml file (it works the same way it does in Xenia, here the list of values that can be used).

What files have you modified to improve the LODs? I haven't find a single LOD related ini or lua files so far on 06-10wc whereas the later games have the usual lua files for LOD like FIFA 11 pc onwards.

Also, do you have a github repository or a place where we can get the latest release of your builds? I'd like to give fifa 08 a shot.

I temporarily uploaded them to mediafire but the links have since expired. I’m away for the weekend and don’t have access to my files but perhaps @*aLe can share 08 with you in my absence. Similarly, I can report back on LODs when I return.

i think you downloaded the Fr, De, It version of FIFA 08, because i got Europe version and started directly in english

it also runs very nice for me and the only bugs i found are these missing crowd spots and blackscreen during cutscenes
played only one game tho
lets see which other recomps here works

FIFA 08 crashed when a freekick was awarded/player got injured

Yes, you're right: I downloaded the version you said (the one that features the Italian language) on purpose because I was curious to try the Italian commentary.
I already had the English version and I'm still using that one with Xenia.
The "recompiled" version containing Italian would start in French and wouldn't give me the chance to select the language at startup, but I managed to force it in Italian with that string in the .toml file (using the code I posted).

Yes I got missing characters in names (but I also get them from time to time in RPCS3, while I've never noticed in Xenia) and the disappearing crowd bug.
I also had the game crash while trying to edit the profile.

By the way, this is the reason I wanted (oh, lrt's be honest: I NEEDED) to try the Italian commentary:

It became a thing in FIFA 10 (where people started joking about it) but apparently it goes all the way back to FIFA 08 (gotta also try 07 soon)
 
Thread title and first post has been updated to cover PlayStation 4 port of FIFA 14. Huge thanks to sleevel for making incredible progress on FIFA 14 Next Gen.

Sleevel, could you post your FIFA 14 enhancement build of shadps4 to github so that they can merge it with master builds?
