Hey guys, I'm desperate. I've recently installed fifa 19 and I would love to install fifers career realistic career mod, but his links on his patreon are long dead and he does not seem to answer the call to reupload the mod. Does anyone of you have it and can maybe help me? thanks in advance

thanks a lot man. Do you know if it works well even with the VLpatch? Like, will the season still start in 2025 or must it say 19/20?
I don't know about this patch. In the attached link, you can see that there are 2 versions, one with Default season 18/19 and other one with 19/20 season. Also, you must be playing the game thru EA App/Origin.

does anyone find that fifa 19 is the best all rounder football game for a realistic career mode, i feel it has the best graphics/variety/animation/gameplay of most fifas,

I think the graphics, animations, and match presentation, especially in the Champions League, are excellent. The gameplay is also enjoyable. I haven't played this version in a while, but I remember it being more attack-oriented, which means matches flow from box to box. There's very little play in the midfield. I also remember that through passes and wingers were the recipe for winning matches. There's no perfect FIFA; each has something it excels at and something it lacks. It's great that you found the version that suits you best. I'm currently searching for the best version for myself to build a long career. FIFA 16 started to get a bit boring. Now I'm testing FIFA 17 and FIFA 22, and I can't decide...

I often think about this. I think it's the last "playable" (for want of a less exaggerated word) FIFA.

The gameplay isn't quite as free and "error prone" as older games, the AI not quite as varied, the ball physics a bit marble-on-glass, and the 1v1 silly defending kicks in occasionally, but it still has magic moments - and it has the Champions League license for the first time since their UEFA 2006-2007 game.

As you say, as a package, I think it might be the best all-rounder. In-fact, I had one of my best football gaming memories on FIFA 19:

FIFA 20 was, in my opinion, a huge downgrade and the beginning of the focus being entirely on what EA describe as "Competitive Players" (but seemingly, kids). Faster speed, ultra-responsive physics where players break limbs reguarly - an AI that is totally confused a lot of the time - 1v1 silly defending, huge gaps all over the pitch etc... and every year since they've doubled-down on it all, before perfecting the formula in the first FC game and sticking to it since.

Eurogamer described each yearly FIFA release alternating between "fast, slow, fast, slow" for quite a long time, and I have to imagine that was to try and satisfy a different audience each time; FIFA 20 (a "fast" one) launched, and from then on, it stayed fast / silly.

do you think 18 is any better?i found 18 too fast even with slow option in gamespeed or 17?, i don t like the animations of fifa 16, they are too rigid

18 I can't go back to. I played a World Cup 2018 not so long ago to remind me why I didn't like it (although having a World Cup mode is obviously great).

As soon as I had to play higher-rated teams, the AI started playing pinball and I was powerless to do anything. The ping-ponging was rotten, and I didn't find FIFA 19 to be as bad in that respect.

FIFA 17 had some of the best AI balancing I can remember - in my lower-league career, I would smash the poorer teams and be smashed by the giants (cup games were a real test of nerve, and if you didn't defend for your life, you were punished - remember those days?).

But it was a little glitchy and a little bit stiff from memory - when I've gone back to it, it's felt a little too on-rails for me (as you say about 16 being rigid).

Guys, why do I only have EA and 2 Adidas balls to choose from in my FIFA 19? Is there any way to unlock the other balls?
EDIT:
Okay, I found a locale.ini that unlocks the balls, but not all of them. I mean, for some, the ball name is correct but the thumbnail displays the EA ball. But I already have most of the balls I wanted.

2 Ways for you to have all balls, boots etc. unlocked in game.
1) Download and install the FIP 19 2.2 Patch from FIFA INFINITY Website. Idk if still available. If not ping me and I´ll upload them for you.

Or 2) Unlock all balls, boots etc with a fresh Frosty extracted DB, open it in DB Master to unlock those balls and maybe boots as well.

I would recommend you option 1 as you can see in my screenshot below in the Patch Features list that the Patch license a lot of stuff as well.
A third way would be possible to do the unlock thing via Aranaktus Career Cheat Table directly ingame!

When I first saw this comment, I smiled a little. It's a practically unheard-of opinion. But since I was looking for an alternative to FIFA 16, I had to give it a try. I spent the entire first season testing sliders and a few mods. I have to say, I'm truly surprised! The game offers what I was missing in FIFA 16-17. Smoother animations, good shot spin, finally a good cross trajectory, decent net physics, a clear difference between playing against a good and a weak team, a more extensive career mode, the ability to train speed and acceleration, etc. After used a modifications, I managed to reduce the frequency of beautiful goals, great long-range goals, and high-scoring matches. Now everything seems balanced, and the game is truly enjoyable, though challenging. Of course, there are also drawbacks: few fouls, through passes to the wing are too often precise, and despite the mods, the CPU still sometimes plays tiki taka. And the frostbite and the infamous ice skating, but tolerable. Just when I was certain I'd have long career in FIFA 17, I'm now faced with another dilemma: 17 or 19? I've tailored both games to my needs. I enjoy playing each one, but I don't like constantly jumping from one game to another, although I currently do:)

I am can too add my 2 cents, that FIFA 19 are good and pleasantly playable, when some time ago was tryed to play few matches in career or league mode.
It was really interesting to play, interesting to score goals, interesting to defence, interesting to build own squads ...
And this "real interesting feeling" is one of most important part for almost every game.
If game have a beautiful graphics, but dull and empty gameplay, there is will be missing all wishes to play into it for long time.

it s an unpopular opinion i know, but i do still think it s the last playable offline career mode fifa , where u can indulge and immerse urself in a full season with ur own low tier team or higher tier teams, and as u said, u can tell the difference btw lower teams and the superstar teams indeed

You should try FIFA 22 with Realism X gameplay & recommended sliders. The AI & flow is on another level. I don't think something beats that even today

I own that game but haven t modded it since everyone said back then that the ai cannot be fixed and still has 1 v1 silly defending

FIFA 22 makes a great first impression. I think scoring goals in 22 is more fun than in 16-19. But in the long run, the complete lack of fouls, the lack of play in midfield, the insanely fast movements of players, such as when turning with the ball, and the strange ball physics that jump during sprints, discredit this game for me as a career mode. And yes, I used the Realism X mod.If someone mods FIFA 22 like Paul and Anths FC 25/26, it would be the best football game ever. Without it, it will forever remain a game with untapped potential.

Recently, I have been playing a lot of FIFA 19 through FIFA 22 (PC versions). In my view, the tackling behavior with Tactical Defending is implemented much better in FIFA 19 to FIFA 21. You can pressure opposing players at the right moment, which leads to realistic and engaging duels.

Starting with FIFA 22, however, the gameplay feels noticeably faster. The CPU also plays passes much more quickly, which means the 50/50 challenges introduced in FIFA 19 are largely lost. Instead of actively engaging in tackles, you often end up simply chasing the CPU, with very few real battles for the ball. As a result, defending becomes very monotonous and loses much of its depth.

PC version in the vanilla/original version. Tactical Defending

I don't know how much your current specs can affect the physics of the game, but I remember trying FIFA 22 with a Intel Core 9600k + RTX 2060 that was running the game at steady 60 FPS. Next day, I jumped to a 13600K+RTX 4070 build and although the game was running above 60FPS too, the experience was WAY better, much more than I expected. The smoothness, the way players react to the moves you try to do, etc

And I feel that each time we come back to old versions, we are mostly surprised in a good way because we experience something like that. Overkilled PCS that can run the game as it should have been.

Besides that, I agree with you. The 16-22 era was the last FIFAs I've enjoyed. Haven't bought FC26 yet, for instance.

i am in the same boat, not willing to buy fc 26 because the basic problems are still there...

It's currently on sale on Steam, but I still think $20 is expensive for what the game is (when I used to buy each version on first week since 2010).
This year I'm closer to buy the Switch version than the PC one
