I do that every year, just copy the main folder and rename "FIFA 16 - Copy," and leave it right in the Origin folder. Use it offline, update your other FIFA 16 for online. Simple.

Going to do that now then. My Fifa is installed to a different location then my Origin folder does that make a difference?

Once you've got downloaded the squad update and everything you can set Origin to run in Offline mode then you won't need to use the VPN anymore (but of course then you can't play online).

Nope see above.

Fortunately PureVPN has split tunnelling so I can set only Origin to be using the VPN and the rest of my PC using a straight internet connection :)

Sorry was having dinner with my wife and watching TV, now to Fifa :)
 
Had a quick game, off to work now. Seems exactly the same to me so all good. Need to copy that Fifa folder when I get home.

Surprisingly the FCC points thingy carried over so I have 38,000 I've unlocked everything I need so if anyone need anything like balls/kits/boots/UT stuff unlocking let me know and I can gift them (Origin username and item needed is required info) :)

Can't you use the VPN again? Just do the same as yesterday, launch VPN, connect to Korea, launch Fifa16 from the shortcut, when the play/settings menu comes up disconnect the VPN (if you want to make things a bit quicker in menus etc) then play :)
 
Too bad I need to wait till Thursday as I bought it via Amazon. :/

Well, at least I'm preparing some graphical mods for the game.

First thing will be an update of all outdated Minifaces from the Premier League.

I will also look at the possibility to make Pre Season Tournaments licensed like Emirates Cup or Barclays Asia Trophy.
