FIFA 10 Videos & Pictures

I am all about intelligent debate. I have been gathering some telling Pro Evo clips of all sorts of stuff. (Sorry this might not be relevant for this thread.) Although I haven't yet made the jump to current gen, I do not need to have played Fifa 10 or Pro Evo 2010 to figure out the community is not completely satisfied with their footy games. In short, we still haven't got the perfect football game yet (who knows if we will ever). I believe I can offer my insight and experiences playing pro evo 2008, Fifa 08, and PES 5, all of which are currently on my shelf. I've been meaning to share video evidence of what is right and what is not about current video games, which is why I think a thread such as this one (or romagnoli's) is a good start to starting healthy debate. And right now, I am being pretty lazy atm but in the coming days I'll get around to making a nice little compilation with the Pros and Cons of PES previous gen--as well as how I believe some issues still need to be addressed, tweaked, or looked at with the current versions.

Erm. No. But thanks for your kind reply anyway, I guess. Maybe it's because I don't play with ManU, Chelsea, Barca and the likes, whatever. Or maybe it's because I simply suck at shooting :)

Tom, you're right. Your goal is great and in full manual it's not usual to score something like that. I've scored some similar goals, but not much. Playing with great clubs makes it easier, but not to the point of seeing things like that every week.

I guess klashman is simply trying to look cool or haven't really played manual at all...
 
Thanks for backing me up here, drekkard. I've been playing the game on full manual since its release, most of the time with the very same friend of mine like above. But goals like that one only happen sooooo rarely, I can't even remember the last time I've seen a screamer like that one going in in our games. Literally, we were both like "WTF did just happen?!", it was really an awesome moment :)

Anyway, I'm still having a great time playing this game, so I'm just happy it still manages to surprise me. These are the moments I love when playing soccer games and, for me personally, FIFA 10 still manages to deliver pretty frequently.

Nah, i not trying to insult any of you just saying i wouldn't get too happy over scroing that type of goal even on manual. Maybe it's because i hate this broken game is why my comment was harsh. But if you enjoyed your goal, more power to you.

Erm a 6 yard tap in from Henry, and a cheat chipped goal. Hardly any comparison to the Scorcher Tom scored.

One thinkg that bugs me about this game is that even when you manage to find a game on manual online, you come up against guys that constantly try the cheat chip goal. what is the point.

Manual 1v1 with friends = some great games and great goals.

:CONFUSE: They were from the demo ages ago,:CONFUSE: So no i wasan't trying to win goal of the month, i have scored and seen many range goals on manual. Just showing people my manual goals i have saved. Sorry i can't hide that no goals impress me on this game anymore. The game is that fucked, hence why i sold it.

Also i really hate this bullshit about 'chipping' being cheating, it's not cheating is shitty ea who have simply made it too easy, you need to understand chipping or this pressure rubbish isn't cheating at all it's just ea who are pathetic and make the game so unbalanced it's easy. Stop blaming players and just accept how broken the game is and get on with it. There was some other guy on that EA forum was trying to convince me chipping was cheating, this is ridiculous.

This whole 'witch hunt' culture about people moaning about, pressue, chipping, assisted is cheap etc.. is born out of this game being poor. If you take these out and think you encounter a great game beneth your very much mistaken. I'd rather just play a game in which i don't worry about certain aspects being cheap, just a game thats balaced.

If 'chipping' the ball is cheating on a football game it is seriously broken! It's just a form of shooting for god's sake. Sorry this is a general rant to everyone who believe's this.

Decent build up (all manual), utterly smashed by the game auto switching to Rooney and not Scholes off my through ball. Scholes seems to stop running the instant I pass the ball, though he does start to curve his run slightly a fraction of a second beforehand. So, on the one hand, we have the game switching to completely the wrong recipient. On the other hand, if this isn't what lost the opportunity, then we have a player making a run into the box who stops running as soon as a player plays the pass. Both are a bit mental.

Was a piss poor clearance, though. Watching the World Cup, it just doesn't play out like a game of Fifa. I'm getting worried for 11, now. :(
 
To be fair, it was with his right foot and he's the left back so perhaps weak foot has been considered?

Although I agree, it plays NOTHING like the WC. I think that's why I've not enjoyed this game so much now the WC is here as I've realised it's a million miles from replicating a true match.

I've been playing as virtually every team (not at the same time) with real fixtures and it hasn't felt authentic in anyway. The speed is about 75% too quick for a start before we even start talking about the AI etc.

Anyway, at the risk of being Off Topic - thanks for the "oooh" :-)

Shame it doesn't have that "jump out of seat" factor to it. That's what Fifa's been missing.
