Error when starting the game

My friend (unregistered at evo-web) played PES 2008 for a while, but then he needed to re-install Windows XP. When he reinstalled (updated video card drivers, installed SP2 and C++ runtime library files etc) he installed PES 2008 again, but got everytime he tried to run it, this message appeared (click to see bigger):



He really needs help, I have some ideas:

1) Corrupted data.

2) Some data not found.

Would be great if any quick help would come.

Yes I have pirate version, but this doesn`t make any sense... It worked before i had reinstalled windows...
