Eredivisie Thread

Re: Eredivisie Thread (Round 2 Played)

PSV's dominance looks like it is crumbling this season, and Ajax don't look like the same team, even though they over run NAC for most of the match they still conceeded quite an early sloppy goal which wouldn't have happened even two seasons ago (Stam is well passed his sell by date :D). Just hoping Feyenoord can secure a good striker, shame that Carew declined, although I couldn't really see him fitting in well there.

Re: Eredivisie Thread (Round 2 Played)

Now Feyenoord signed Charisteas from Ajax, very curious to see how that works out. PSV signed Patrick Kluivert, seems interesting as well.

Re: Eredivisie Thread (Round 2 Played)

Charisteas is probablt the worst player they could have bought, for a start he was Ajax's 5th choice stiker and was consistent with quite poor performances popping up with the ocassional goal, still more than what he contributed to Bremen however. Secondly he is a player that Feyenoord fans taunted Ajax fans because of how bad he was. Feyenoord's board were just desperate to buy a striker and stop the fans from worrying but I really don't think Charisteas will help their chances of picking up the Eredivise title.

Re: Eredivisie Thread (Round 10 played)

We're on a very good run of wins at the moment, but so is PSV. It seems it will be a real battle for the title this year, with AZ in the mix aswell.

AZ will lose some points against smaller clubs, I'm sure of that. It will be just us and PSV. The match Ajax-PSV will be VERY important. If we win win we are 5 points lose, if PSV wins we are 1 point behind them. As I said it will be important.

P.S. Tom de Mul is doing fantastic, Rosales can forget a place in the starting eleven for now. 8)

This thread needs some kinda boost:/

Very happy to see we finally are losing those farmers from Groningen though:D

It seems PSV will get crowned champions very easily again, AZ and Ajax are dissapointing lately

Let's hope for the sake of the competition (and for me as an Ajacied off course :D) that PSV will lose some more points. I just hope Gomes, Alex, Farfan, Koné, Simons and Cocu will get injured for a loooong time.

I hope AZ wins cause there are 2 moroccan players there + one who is on loan at Roda JC .
Thanks to the goal average they just have to win against exelcior wich is something they should do .
Anyway it will be a thrilling day for sure .

Re: Eredivisie Thread (1 game left, who will win the title?)

Is Ramzi still AZ property then?

At least he won't be playing for AZ anymore, and Sinouh will also leave after this season. And Boukhari is on loan, so doubtfull he will be playing for AZ next year.

Re: Eredivisie Thread (1 game left, who will win the title?)

AZ67...i want to see Martens and Dembelé in the CL...

Re: Eredivisie Thread (1 game left, who will win the title?)

Let them be in the CL via the Play-offs. We will win the title with a historic 0-9 win at Willem II :p

:(

Re: Eredivisie Thread (1 game left, who will win the title?)

Nothing is impossible, I believe Ajax beat Sparta 0-9 a few years ago.

Re: Eredivisie Thread (1 game left, who will win the title?)

It'd be nice to see someone outside the big three win it. First time for nearly 30 years?

Re: Eredivisie Thread (1 game left, who will win the title?)

Last time someone from outside the classic top 3 won the title was in 1981, surprisingly enough by AZ.

Re: Eredivisie Thread (1 game left, who will win the title?)

AZ, because of the belgian M&M (Moussa and Maarten)

Re: Eredivisie Thread (1 game left, who will win the title?)

hey Buffalo...welcome my fellow compatriot...i'm a bit of a brussles fan...lousy team i know...but still

Re: Eredivisie Thread (1 game left, who will win the title?)

AZ got a better goal difference, right? So if all teams win their respective games AZ should still be top.

Did anyone here watch Futbol Mundial? They done a report on FC Twente and the progress their making in the Eredivise.

I think they'll be repeating it today on one of the sky sports channel.

Re: Eredivisie Thread (1 game left, who will win the title?)

Yeah, Az's GD is 6 goals better then ours, so if they win their game it's 99% certain they will win the title.

Twente have been great this season indeed, was it a good watch?

Re: Eredivisie Thread (1 game left, who will win the title?)

I suddenly have this feeling we will be champions. Everything is in our advantage next sunday  The trainer of Excelsior is a good friend of ten Cate and said to go full gas. Willem II doesn't wants AZ to be champions, especially their crowd. They don't mind if they'll lose big, as long as AZ won't be champions :D

Yeah it was good. Do you get futbol mundial in Holland?
