if you search a good modded game with current season 2026/2027 updated you can download the full game of "Football Life 2026" that It was released yesterday, October 15, 2025.:

it's a "new" full PES game based on fox engine of PES2021, updated to current season with its personals graphics files and stadiums, its new gameplay and with already working kitserver's addons just after installation (faces pack need to be installed separately with a second download)

Im partucarly interested in cpu vs cpu match, do ai run when counterattack or when find space instead of stopping and passing?

when i play ML the cpu DOES rapid counter attacks depending on their tactics (uml does a perfect job for squads, stats, tactics, etc)

cpu does incredible and really surprising stuff with this gameplay, check this one:

I have given up on fifa(and the new version thats even worse). Its impossible now
So i have moved to FL 26. Its installed and working now. Is it possible to edit gameplay etc as I used to with the locale files in fifa?
Are there any non reshade based graphics mods.
The gameplay looks good already.
Any tips on modding and gameplay would be useful. I like the gameplay to be realistic, physical(leeds and chelsea style from the early 70s) and very difficult
Its years since I played a good game of football

There's loads of mods for gameplay , personally I would go into the edit section and find back to the past mods and he has re realised a few for FL2026 and all are brilliant in their own right. PES6 , WE7I and the Jleague 30th anniversary mods. These are basically exes you use with the original pes 21 gameplay via FL 2026 selector tool.

Thanks. Is it possible to get into the games coding as we did with fifa and change the ai etc? I used to build my own gameplay mods for fifa. I mamaged to get some amazing gameplay from fifa with my mods. I wondered if the same levels of tweaking were possible with this. I have zero modding experience with PES
I also cant work out the controls for the life of me. Its impossible for me to edit them during gameplay. I struggle with memory issues so learning and remembering new things can be a nightmare. This game could be a nightmare for me to remember things. The menus as really stodgy with little done on the fly.
I have tried remapping my DS5 via the setting app and that hopeless as you need to remember what each button does to remap. I remembered the dash is R1 so I tried to remap to R2. In game it didnt work.
I had forgotten how bad the menus were in PES when played years ago

I've no idea how to do it , but there's tutorials on how to create your own DT18 file which affects gameplay and obviously people are modding exes so yes it can be done
