eFootball (All Platforms)

  • First, we will review the changes between Ver.0.9.1. and Ver.1.0.0.
  • A "Team Press" button has been added. It's strong enough to get complaints
  • A player who moves with Team Press can easily steal the ball just by pressing R1.
  • It was good enough to stop in front of the opponent. I think it was good that it was strong enough to limit the course.
  • Next, the cursor change can be changed the starting point from "ball" to "player".
  • It is important that the distance that the cursor can be moved is longer than the change of the starting point. It is great that you can change the cursor to a distant player by changing the cursor. In version 0.9.1, it was difficult to limit the pass course because it was inconvenient to change the cursor. That's why everyone said it was difficult to defend.
  • With the addition of Team Press, defense has become much easier. Kick cancellation has been changed from "□ → R1" to "□ → ×".
  • In version 0.9.1, I couldn't select a set-piece kicker either, so I thought they would be added, including Individual Instructions.
  • However, it became inconvenient because we couldn't remove Individual Instructions during the match. You may not be able to attach a counter target because you can play even if the player's stamina decreases. I couldn't really understand the difference with Individual Instructions. I don't think it's good not to be able to remove it during the match.
  • I wanted them to add instructions to the team instead of Individual Instructions. Something like wide positioning or side rotation. Football is a sport played by teams.
  • I hope that such instructions will increase in the future. Next is the impact kick, but it's difficult to operate. You have to press R2 and the kick button at the same time.
  • As a feature of version 1.0.0, the game speed has also got faster. The pass speed and dribble speed have not got faster.
  • Since the opponent's press is fast, we have less time to hold the ball. It's more football-like than PES and more football-like than eFootball ver.0.9.1. But dribbling isn't faster.
  • Since the opponent's press is fast and dribbling is difficult, quick judgment is required. You will be able to do it if you practice
  • The defense has become considerably stronger. The developer said, "We made the game balance 2-1".
  • When I limit the pass course and steal the ball, I find the defense fun. I think it's a good game for those who want to take the ball easily.
  • Both Match-up and Team Press are strong, so the difficulty of defense has dropped considerably. That means it's difficult to attack. I think everyone will have a hard time to score goals at first.
  • There was one-on-one battle on the side in version 0.9.1, but it's no longer in version 1.0.0. Since it become always 1 on 2 situations, you also have to connect the pass with two more players.
  • If you go to the side, it will be easier for your opponent to catch you. If there is a player who can dribble, I think that person is amazing.
  • In PES, I can carry my opponent on my back, but with eFootball, I couldn't do that. The pass is no longer misaligned like version 0.9.1. The pass is misaligned compared to FIFA.
  • You have to be careful about the player's posture. You can pass exactly as long as the player is in good posture.
We were trying to pass before we got in good posture. Perhaps the pass does not shift even if you are in bad posture.
  • Since the controller settings have changed, I think it's better to go into training mode to get used to the button layout of version 1.0.0. I think you should get used to the new controller settings before doing Rank Match.
  • In PES, the attack from the center was strong, but in version 0.9.1, the side attack was strong. It was easier to have a player on the side. Ver.1.0.0 is difficult to dribble, so the side attack is not very strong. The defense made it difficult to give long passes to wide players.
  • I think most of the people who were playing version 0.9.1 were using 4-3-3. I think it's better to stop! Otherwise you will probably be in despair ...

I totally disagree on one point.
  • I wanted them to add instructions to the team instead of Individual Instructions. Something like wide positioning or side rotation. Football is a sport played by teams
you got so wrong on that.
from coaching point in real life individual players make a team so a team tactic is compine from individual instructions
to many to said here to few to poorly done from konami on that
fifa in this is by far better, there you can create a tactic from scratch and manipulate a player in offense or on defense as you like
on that you have totally wrong mate individual instructions are more than crucial in modern soccer

I hope this is satire. The day we are charged to merely change the match length & difficulty is the day we are charged in game everytime we're about to take a shot on goal.
I can see your point, and the dangers, but I meant what I said.

I hate the concept of "free" games paid for with ads and/or loot boxes. I also hate the subscription model for programs and apps; I'd far rather pay a one-off purchase price.

But content must be paid for somehow, and you could argue that by buying PES every year as I've done for the last 25 years or so, I’ve been paying the equivalent of an annual sub anyway.

I play mainly ML, but have tried My Club, without ever spending real money on that mode.

Personally, I think I would pay a small fee for extended matches, teams and a league mode (& perhaps being able to setup matches online with friends). You wouldn't presumably, but that would be your choice, and it's one I'd like to have (now rather than later). I'd see it as buying/paying for an overall, albeit limited version of PES. It would have to be priced reasonably, but I think I’d get my money’s worth playing mates on the couch.

I’ve had some fun playing Efootball online, but I’d much rather play offline with local friends.

From what i saw in the Files, the Training mode which should be in the 1.0 Version tomorrow, is only playable with your Dream Team.
I hope im wrong.
So maybe its possible to play offline against the cpu with your Dream Team.

How can you access the files already?

Any ideas what time can we expect it to be available on Steam? Same as always? after 2:00 - 8:00 UTC maintenance?
(like if there is something to maintain at the moment XD)

Good stuff lol. If this was 2021 season update, or any PES version 20 years beforehand, i would be doing the same..eagerly sitting by my pc and constantly refreshing steam or the psn store in the early hours of the morning (in in Australia).

... But.. This is efootball... Id prefer a good night sleep and ill give it a shot over the next day or so. Konami's efootball has totally wiped any enthusiasm or crazy-ass commitment that I may have demonstrated for future versions. Hopefully ill be surprised over the next year or 2

Yeah it didn't surprise me. We live in a timeline where literally every damn thing is monetised now even if it never used to be. Even modding communities which used to be a non profit communial are becoming marginalised because everyone is charging for their mods, which can bring about it's own legal nightmare one day if not already.

But, don't hate the player, hate the game. Like with FUT 10 years ago, as soon as one person proves you can charge money for something small, everyone asks "Well, why shouldn't we be doing the same?" and thus, a precedent is born but then oversaturatuon occurs and there's only so much of a consumers money to go around and companies become even more desperate to chase those profits they release shit that isn't ready and now here we are, with eFootball, a product they rushed to the market and of which didn't even have a way for players to spend their money on it even if they wanted to which meant Konami gained nothing from the public humiliation after all that.

I can't believe it. Im nearly 47yo now and thinking about switching my Xbox to australian timezone. Just for a f*ing update of the worst "game" ever released.
:APPLAUD::TD:
So is the update releasing soon (as in today) in the Australian/NZ store?

I thought it was a global release?

I'm nearly 50, I'm spanish and I have japanese and Honk Kong PSN accounts since many years just to download PES games a few hours before.
😂
@cellabonez there is nothing to laugh here! 😊
We’re would i be without my HongKong, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Austria, Germany and USA citizenships?! it’s needed! 😂

Nostalgia… when remembering the good old days is more fun than anticipating the arrival of an update/game! Just speaking for myself here.

I dunno about you, but I'm EXCITED about this. Booked the day off tomorrow.

Can't wait to fire up Elden Ring and put in some good hours – haven't played it as much as I wanted recently.
I’m on vacation this whole week, but that’s just coincidence.

had to rest my arm wrist in a cast for some days to get the pain away. Cant wait to get back into my cockpit tonight. The update, yeah, I’ll have a look.

My mood for tomorrow

Pretty sure it'll be in the morning. Unless you're in a time zone much further to the east of UK.
Not sure this time, since the game "seems" to be a matchmaking client, about the playability level, since it's Thursday tomorrow, so the server is down , due to the usual maintenance.

I mean, apart from the 5-minutes friendly matches, the rest modes????, MyDreamTeam will be playable after 10~11am CET , when the maintenance usually ends.

For those who plan a late night.
