Easy To Score PC v360???

My 2 sons say that the game on the PC demo is faster than the play on the 360 and its easier to score against the keepers in the PC demo than it is on the 360 one.

If this game was built on one unit (ps3??) and ported or whatever to 360 and PC why the difference in the game between the 360 and PC???

The speed differences are probably down to the different hardware. All 360's are fundamentally built the same in regards to performance but PC's aren't a gaming platform in that respect and you can have wildly differing image quality, frame rates and other inconsistencies (game speed) for a variety of different reasons (hardware, software, drivers). Then there is the quality of the porting...

As for whether it's easier to score on the PC or not I think that's unlikely. I've played many games with the PC demo thus far and the experience is different every time. Some games are harder than others, some times it's an easy run, sometimes it's a barren run. We'd need more people to test this to see whether there was a tangible difference. It's certainly easy to jump to conclusions, especially with the placebo effect that will occur when jumping from the 360 to the PC.

I've been playing quite a few games on the pc demo, due to the 5minute timer i have to play a different style than i usually play, no time for pissing about :) Some games the computer team has fallen to pieces and my players are easily creating chances and getting 4 goals, and other times their defence is tight and i barely get a decent shot in all game. This is one of my favorite things about pes and it seems like it's improved even more in 2008

Update on that now ... since the time extenders have been launched (I player 15min game) the game is a lot tighter in terms of chances no more 4-0.

totally agree. I suspect the longer game time lets the cpu player learn that it's under threat and adjust it's defence to absorb the barrage of attacks... clever stuff

You will find it plays quicker on the pc as you have the ratio set as 4:3 in the settings. Put it onto 16:9 and it will play exactly the same as the 360 version.

Pc all the way for me

yes pc , whit all upcoming moding will be miles bether than ps3 and xbox 360 versions

No.....this is my least favourite thing about PES.

What you are referring to is the 'slanted pitch' AI. Where for no apparent reason Brazil might collapse at your feet but then in the next game, Suadi Arabia may take you apart. Whilst this may well reflect the 'Funny Old Game' from time to time, the unfortunate method that Konami use to make such phenonmena happen is to basically cheat either by mis-positioning your players or ensuring that your passes always go slightly astray. This would be fine if such antics were confinded to the one palyer game but no. The same tilted pitch effect also impacts the two player game leaving a very sour flavour in the mouth of the game being 'scripted'.

PES6 was the worst PES ever for this lame AI tactic and so far, It seems that PES2008 is just another pea in the pod.
