EA SPORTS FC 27

As long as "authentic mode" is even a thing and HyperMotion is still in the game, the game will never be good, it is impossible with those animations in the game.
The good news is that I see a lot of old games being revived and probably 1 or 2 more football games released by some real football fans, but it will take time and it will never be mainstream like FIFA/PES used to be back in the day. It will be a niche community much like this Forum and all its mods are.

I didn't buy last year's and I won't be buying this years but it seems the on line crowd are happy for the AI attackers to behave like attckers, running into space making good movement etc, but not happy with defenders doing the same. It's madness but it is what it is

Complete madness. Part of the skill in comp should be picking the right players/tactics/teams to counter your opponent IMO. Yes, of course how mechanically good you are at the game should matter, but so should strategy. That just does exist if everything is manually controlled.

It seems the FUT crowd want twitch shooter mechanics but in football, where it is all about your skill of the controller rather than knowledge of football and then the rest of their game is just a card collecting gambling simulator.

In my opinion what they want is just a different game. They don't want or know football at all. Or at least dont appreciate football in its true form. At this point why not just make a free-to-play live service version of the game and call it Ultimate Team and constantly milk them for packs and "season pass"?

Then make another game, call it EA Sports FC Manager (like the old FIFA manager) and make the best realistic game they can. Completely kill off Football Manager in the process as well.

They just did a similar thing with Madden and College football. Underneath the surface they are exactly the same game. Both cost $70, just with different interfaces and teams...
