EA SPORTS FC 26

I don't know if all of the above changes apply to Authentic gameplay or not - it's actually a REALLY good sign to me if they're applied in Competitive gameplay, but I hope Authentic doesn't miss out!

Either way, I'm really surprised at the changes above in-particular because they seem realism-focused.

The first point on the list I'm particularly pleased about. Push it further, guys! Less assistance will add to the "skill gap" Competitive players demand AND add realism too. It's win-win!
It sounds like unless specified they will be applied to both. 95%+ of the gameplay is the same in both modes, so this sounds like it's in keeping with that.

Career Mode

Made the following change:

  • Reduced the amount of emails received in Manager Career about checking the Manager Market for new job offers. <<<< thank god lmao
Addressed the following issues:

  • Improved AI manager job security calculations in the Manager Market.
  • Addressed an issue where Caretaker Managers in Manager Career were generated with a star rating lower than intended, causing misalignment with their club.
  • In Live Starting Point and Manager Live, some competitions did not feature the intended teams.
  • Managers joining mid-season could have sometimes been incorrectly listed as failing objectives that otherwise would apply from the start of the season.
  • An end of season email could have incorrectly criticised the manager’s performance based on the previous manager.
  • Addressing a number of issues that resulted in managers switching to teams that weren't an intended fit for them.
  • Job alert emails were sometimes being sent too early in a season.
  • In Manager Career, an incorrect number of Roles could have been shown for scouted players.
  • Addressed instances of social media posts not displaying as intended.
  • Addressed visual issues that could happen in pre-match interviews and when customizing players.
  • In some cases, tattoos applied during Player Career avatar customisation may not have been saved and could have disappeared.
  • When rejecting a managerial offer, an incorrect email could have appeared stating that the club was the one doing the rejection.
  • Addressed an issue where the Unexpected Homesick Player Event could have occurred repeatedly, causing the user to receive multiple notifications.
  • Addressed a stability issue that may have occurred when attempting to sign out, send, or accept an invite while within the Player Career Avatar customization.
  • After creating a Manager in Manager Live, the manager’s info could not have been be edited.
  • Addressed an issue where the end-of-season email in Manager Career did not correctly reflect the actual results achieved after transferring to another team late in the season.
  • An incorrect trophy could have been shown in the Social Media post after winning a competition.
  • Addressed an issue where previous season player statistics did not display the correct data when using a Deep Simulation in a Manager Career Live Starting Point.
  • A lighting issue could have occurred when restarting a Moments challenge mid-game.

The crying on Twitter from the streamers is insane.

On the one hand, this tells me it's a good update. On the other hand, it means it's only a matter of time before a mega speed-up patch...

You've got to feel sorry for EA when the loudest voices have zero interest in a football game and just want to keep winning because the game is their livelihood.

Exactly. I think the focus of modding on PC has to be on simulation mode, no matter what.
Same on consoles. Focus the sliders and adjustments on simulation mode.

Competitive mode is going to be a roller coaster of updates. A Frankenstein.

I confirm again. The AI is much more aggressive in my time playing.

I apologise for the language, I am using a translator and there may be errors.

After patch 1.1.0, I noticed more aggression (sliders at 99 as before) but the % of fouls committed is almost identical.
At this point, I would like to ask those who modify the game on PC: are you able to get more fouls? How? That way we could tell EA where to intervene.
I realise this is a pipe dream...

Really dumb question but i'm looking to buy FC26 on PC purely for career mode which I'll obviously mod. Do I need to buy the full game from EA or Epic etc, or can I use a Steam account sharing? I could access a mates account and save the £60 if so but I don't want to get him banned (obviously I know you need to stay offline with mods installed etc).

Take into account that only (or 'mostly') people who for some unfathomable reason follow one of those pro fools voted, then that should mean your average joe gamer should greatly appreciate and enjoy this update.

Let's hope that that the inevitable 'ok, we're caivng in to the no-lifers'-patch will not touch authentic gameplay. One can hope, at least.

That looks good to me , is it pc modded
Anth James' mod. Not the original game.

It shows just how good the game could be for EVERYONE if the devs were given the permission and resources to do it. But luckily for those on PC, modders exist.

Nice I'm going to pick it up next sale whenever that may be

The silent majority lose again. The streamers, and those who follow their every word like it's gospel, get their way.

Frankly, I don't care that it (hopefully) won't affect Authentic mode - I strongly believe the majority of Competitive mode (i.e. online players) want a football game too. It is SO unfair on them.

Forgive the language, but fuck me, it's infuriating.

Absolutely.

It's a self-serving veneer. When was the last time you saw a massive groundswell from the competitive community in regards to manual controls? By that I mean, to the same degree in which they all seem to rally against "automated defending?" I can't recall. Oh-so-many FUT players harp on about the skill gap or lack thereof (and use it to belittle, mock and shame others), but they rarely, if ever advocate for manual controls! If they truly wanted to introduce a higher skill ceiling and subsequent skill gap, they'd be championing the enforcement of manual controls in competitive matches. A toggleable setting has been staring them in the face for well over a decade and they intentionally ignore it.

Played several games and there is no change in the amount of fouls. Authentic game speed has increased though.
Also, the bloody game still won’t save some of my settings.

Exactly. I just played 3 games after the patch. 8 minute halves, authentic sliders, worldclass. 1 (!) foul in total.

Same for the settings. I'm so fed up with checking the settings every fucking game.

These total fucking wankers.

It's like Trump and his alternative facts.

They actually think what they are doing is skillful.

(Apologies for the language. I do feel like swearing was invented for these people though, in the context of a football game anyway! Im sure they're lovely people in their everyday lives...)
