Do we have to use the Xbox 360 Live Vision?

Do we have to use the Live Vision camera for picture importing or can it be any webcam or camera? For the quality it gives, 34.99 is a disgrace for the Xbox cam.
 
The only camera to work on the 360 (in my experience, and I've tried about ten different webcams owned by mates) is the official one.

Dunno if GAME are still doing the deal, but 2 weeks ago the Cam was £25 if you bought anything else in store. I bought a 49p thing from their sales bin and saved £9.51. ;-)

To be honest though, faces aside you can't do much with the camera shirt-wise, and I'm not sure it's worth it.

Colour me sick, cos I bought a 360 last year for PES6, which was a bit cack, and this year, the XBLV Cam, a 360 X-Port AND 512Mb Memoruy Unit for transferring Option Files, and the game's not exactly steaming hot this time, either.
 
I got a Vision Cam for free from work last year, but now I've bloody lost it so I can't use it anyway. I don't think it's worth £34.99 at all.
